What did you do to your jeep today?

Of course that's in the eye of the beholder … I'm pretty sure the wife does NOT think so!!! That said, they actually make them for Jeeps as well, though they have gone up in price a bit since I bought them. https://www.performancepedals.com/collections/jeep-billet-pedal-sets

What did you do to your jeep today?

Still working on the big truck, but getting closer and closer to lowering it back to the ground for a test drive with the new clutch. :p So today, after work, I got the transmission filled, the shift and transfer case linkage hooked up and the shift boots and console all put back in. I also...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Years ago, the OG (original guru) of vehicle forward lighting, Daniel Stern, turned me onto the Phillips Xtreme Power and Xtreme Vision bulbs to use in the p*ss poor headlights on my 3rd gen Dodge Ram. After seeing a noticeable and improved quality of nighttime visibility with them, with NO...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Got the G56 stabbed back onto the Cummins today …working by myself, it took longer then I expected and I am tired. Next time (actually given the quality and holding power of the clutch I bought, I am hoping that there wont ever need to be a next time!!!) but if there is, I will definitely buy...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Years ago I was passing through a small town with a large hardware store that in its heyday was used to service the Redwood lumber industry. Walking through the store, smiling and with mouth agape, I saw that they had a couple aisles of those old steel cabinets with steel drawers… NO cardboard...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Prepped for tomorrow by making the gasket that goes between the shift tower and the G56 transmission which (like many Jeep parts ;)) is not available anymore. Most people use RTV, but I decided to make a cardboard template and then copied the template on to some cork/rubber. Im also gonna make...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Finally had time today to make more progress by properly placing and carefully torquing the various plates and pieces of the new Valair "Quiet" Organic Dual Disk clutch onto the back of the mighty Cummins. Good thing that it comes in several pieces…that sucker is heavy!!! Notice the short black...

    A/C has me stumped

Yup…the lower part of the AC condensor is separately connected to auto transmission fluid lines.

    A/C has me stumped

The CRD uses an AC condensor that is also a combined AT cooler. Mopar does not make them anymore and most people are forced to replace them with an aftermarket AC condensor and then try to fit and add an extra AT cooler. Nissen still makes the combined unit but hey are generally out of stock...

    2005 jeep liberty pump

WWDiesel is more active on LostJeeps, which is strange because, unfortunately, LJ is almost a zombie website now. But here is a post he made about the delete kits last year on jeepkj and you should be able to message him through the post...

    2005 jeep liberty pump

If you don't live in a very cold climate where you need faster cabin heat, IMO its MUCH better to eliminate the VH entirely by buying a delete kit. Doing this eliminates a failure point, makes more room in your engine bay, simplifies coolant hoses and even adds a negligible amount of HP or MPG...

    2005 jeep liberty pump

Again a pic would help ;), but maybe your talking about the viscous heater, which uses kinetic energy to warm the engine coolant faster in order to heat the cabin faster in cold climates.

    2005 jeep liberty pump

A pic would help,. but if you mean the filter canister and push pump attached to the firewall on the (US) drivers side of the engine compartment, that is your diesel fuel filter and manual pump to purge the air and prime the filter after a filter change.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Try searching for "transfer case" instead of "transfer box" ;) Also when you determine exactly which TC you have on your KJ (there will be tag on it) , likely a NV241J or NV242, try searching for it on youtube...more then likely someone has done a rebuild on it and filmed it. Of course, the...

What did you do to your Jeep today? -Wrangler Edition-

^^^ Lets not forget about the federal and state per gallon gasoline taxes that are supposed to go to highway and roads construction and maintenance. Nationally this tax averaging totals about .40/gallon, but in California, state gas tax alone is almost .70/gallon, which brings the California...

What did you do to your jeep today?

NOT on the KJ, but working on the exceptional Cummins powered truck … replacing the slipping SBC Con OFE clutch with a Valair dual disk organic clutch. Got the G56 ****** dropped today … would have been over 300# to lower, but pulled the TC first.

    Power Steering Fluid

ATF+4 and know that any brand of ATF+4 has to meet Mopar specs by licensing, which means it is all the same.
