Do you really need new sensors, or do you need to replace sensor connectors (shorted wires), or do you need to really replace the sensors? A clean emission report would indicate that all three components are actually ok, and you are probably using bad gasoline. If you fail an emissions test...
Also, after you did all this work did you perform a reset on the PCM/ECU (engine computer)? If "no", do this before you touch anything else:

Please clarify, was the Jeep already misfiring on all cyls before you changed the plugs and coils?
Found this while sifting through Chrysler TSB postings. If you have that Sentry Anti-theft option and you need to do a PCM reset, especially if you do not have the correct PIN (required), this outlines what you have to do in addition to screwing around with the PCM. Luck to ya.
Remember, the PCM talks to the TCM constantly and vice-versa. Mismatched PCMs and TCMs will not communicate correctly. This problem cascades to the physical engine and trans... so trying to drop a manual trans into a vehicle originally equipped with an auto 45RFE or 42RLE is a hot mess.

For those of you who have...
A. Contemplated replacing the existing engine in your vehicle
B. Actually gone ahead and done what you THINK is an effective engine replacement
C. Contemplated using a new, non-stock engine to upgrade/replace your existing stock engine
D. Replace your PCM for...
Update: #1 Fuel Injector housing was missing an insulation piece. The misfire may be the result of the connector arcing and not delivering the correct energy to the FI.
Fuel injector connectors consist of:
1. A housing (typically black or grey in color). This is a "keyed" connector so the...
Welcome to the Age of Cheap Chinese Knockoff Manufacturing. Who knows what they use to make parts? 18awg? 14awg? Well, 18 gauge bell wire is cheap so lets use that for everything. Good grief. How many of you have bought a pigtail only to find that the color coding didn't match polarity, and...
When troubleshooting a misfire problem, you need to make sure that you completely reset the PCM or lingering artifacts in memory may corrupt sensor input interpretation.

Anyone struggling with rogue, phantom, or simply inexplicable misfires should read this. Original article attached, I edited down the text below to fit 10000 word limit. When you are done please share your thoughts.

While waiting for wire components to arrive, I pulled the #1 coil and spark plug, checked plug gap, and parts are all in good operating condition. No fouling, clean burn on the electrode. Did a hard reset on the PCM and zeroed the trip-odo. The plan is to drive until a misfire occurs again...
Back story: After completely replacing *all* engine sensors, coils, injectors, and fabricating new independent harnesses for the coils and injectors, everything was running great and I put over 3000 miles on the Jeep, so I now know that dependable coil and injectors harnesses can be fabricated...
Yes and no. I put over 1000 miles on the Jeep and then a misfire happened again. Pulled the IAT connector, and the #1 coil and injector wires. Everything looked fine so I reset the PCM and drove for over 100 miles and it popped again.
So I went back into the engine compartment and looked over...
Clarification questions:
1. Are you the original owner?
2. If #1 is "no", are you sure that the Lib has the original PCM?
The point is that there is a distinct VIN/PCM interdependancy. You must have a PCM that is programmed according to VIN, not just year/engine. Mismatched VIN and PCM is a...
Understood. My scanner showed "normal" in freeze frame and live data too... Did you check to make sure the connector housing is actually locked onto the IAT? If no, it takes about 30 seconds to pop the hood and gently pull on the connector housing. If it slides off without depressing the...
Maybe an Intake Air Temp sensor and/or IAT connector problem.
This may seem "left field"... however, I have been chasing a P03xx ghost-in-the-machine problem for over a year now and I stumbled into a piece of trivia that may be the ultimate root cause. Hear me out.
