My wife's 2008 Sienna came with Iridium from the factory. We bought it new. Had them changed at about 120k. Now have 320k, so about 200k on the second set of iridiums. PITA to change but need to do it soon. Definitely wouldn't want to do that every 20-30k...
Checked the 3 plugs that are...
Nope one snap ring. If the bearing are gone then the inner portion of the bearing is still stuck on the housing and the outer is sloppy from too much room to play.
Might have tweaked a valve seat so it won't close completely. Don't want it to drop completely or you'll really screw things up. This was a common issue on the very early KJs but maybe the bad HG and getting it hot added to the issue in your later 06.
I did the bedplate (replaced Crankshaft) and heads (HG replacement) on my departed 02. I followed the 2002 FSM and had no issues. I would recommend doing the same.
HOAT is a specific chemical makeup of the coolant. Different vehicle manufacturers spec their vehicles with different types of coolant. They determine what works best for their systems. Chrysler has used HOAT for quite a while now. The issue with mixing these different chemicals is that they can...
Tstat may be stuck open. Sometimes you'll get a code for taking a long time to get up to temp but might not be quite that bad yet. On the good side, way better to run these things cold that to overheat it...
Yeah the manual has a pretty good description. The right side has to be physically rotated a few degrees clockwise IIRC to get the V6 mark straight up. There is a special tool to do this that fits on the cam right behind the sprocket and anchors in a little hole but maybe put a socket on that...
Doubt a couple miles will get it to temp but could depend upon where you are. Sounds cool to me if it were fully up to temp. Mine used to run about 180 to almost 200 depending upon traffic and when fully up to temp. Never checked at the heater hoses.
Change the temp setting (doesn't matter what directional mode you are in) and listen for a slight buzz behind the center bezel where the switches are located and a bit toward the right side. Might help to remove the glovebox and listen there too. My working blend door actuator motor always made...

Not sure when they changed the design but the one you tried first fit my 02.
May be too late for this current issue, but I bought some of that AeroKroil spray penetrating oil. Tom Mudd recommended it often so gave it a try, and it's worked on everything I've tried it on so far. It's pricey but worth it to me since it works. Has been a lifesaver on all the rusted stuck...
