Today I got the speed sensor and rear differential fluid replaced in my ‘02.

Replaced my faulty spare with a new rim and new tire today, and installed a chrome grille insert that I bought recently. Then I used the Liberty to bring home a furniture purchase, and took it for a nice long drive since the weather was perfect for windows-down cruising today.

Today I worked out how to make my own semi-internal snorkel for my KJ...And it's actually very simple. Aftermarket snorkels, like the Safari, can cost almost £400...A huge sum for what is effectively a bit of plastic pipe. Mine will cost between £10-£30. I will keep the actual design details to myself at the moment as I am considering modding my own KJ with my new snorkel design and will only publish it if it works as intended. I will need to source the right parts to build it and that might take a while, so watch this space.

earlier today I shifted into 4WD full-time during some hard rain and I heard some clunking noises, so when I got home I looked underneath at my front drive shaft (there is some front to back play, so likely time to rebuild or replace). BUT, I found this hose hanging out on the driver's side near the exhaust that comes from the front of the vehicle and looks like it's supposed to be mounted to a bolt or something...can anybody identify what it is and where it should be? Wondering if it's some kind of AC hose as I recently had a shop look at my AC system and wonder if they forgot to mount something when they were done?

No need to replace whole thing, very easy job rebuilding it and cheap
Takes longer to R&R the shaft than to rebuild it

Past few weeks.....
1. Rear section of the roof got replaced from some rust starting under the the flipper glass.... $1300 later but looks new!
2. Took rock rails off last weekend to paint
3. POR 15'd a few little rust bubbles on the rockers. Don't care about it being pretty since they're covered anyway!

Tomorrow:
1. POR 15 rock rails and fluid film rocker panels inside and out.

Rest of the undercarriage and body look new still. Hit 214k miles yesterday.

Jeep's been fine. Other cars... well i've had a hell of a couple of days.
Let the Dodge Shadow go to the great junk yard in the sky (that still hurts. 28 year with that car.)
Dodge Stratus appears to have blown it's engine up last night.
So now I'm down to the Jeep, the Sebring, the T&C minivan, and the SRT-4.
Not a happy man right now.

Scheduled my appointment for next week to get the open recalls completed on my KJ. Occupant Restraint Control module and a trailer hitch are both being installed.
