I think I went through 2 sets (not extended) and rebuilt one… in the ~5 yrs I actually used it off-road. Not horrible but I would have rather not .. lol.
That’s why on my next IFS lift I actually used my head instead of my heart. ;)
By lifting the rear you are changing the angle of the diff to driveshaft… some have no problems. I could never get it to go away. I don’t know that it actually breaks anything but it wasn’t happy. ;)
If you search the term “vibes” and use my username… you will find a half dozen threads about...
They do/have … it’s the CV’s that become the weak point as well as the pinion angle in the rear. Even at just under 3.5” I went through CV’s too often. Also had to live with a droning at specific speeds from the rear despite replacing nearly everything back there.
In the rear you can just stack...
I just replaced my exhaust, it failed after 18 yrs (behind the muffler) and will say that in my instance, back pressure caused all kinds of crazy noises and vibes.
Different animal of course… but I had no codes either. Fingers crossed HJ.
