What brand of cap have you been using ?
The Mopar cap is rated at 16 Psi. Only use Mopar HOAT coolant or Zerex G05 ONLY- at the correct temperature rating.
With correct coolant adapters, pressurize the cooling system and listen for a leak, & see if it holds pressure.

I use a long flat blade screwdriver in glove box to assist holding back the slack in the brake handle /tensioner /adjuster.
It should hold jeep at 4 clicks pulling upwards on brake handle, otherwise something is not well.

North Shore Off Road in North Vancouver BC or any off their locations can quote you in CAN$ for the OME 927/948 coils.
The other company I know of is TFT off road car & truck & jeep accessories quoted me $ 286 per pair of coils. Plus taxes.

The KJ CRD is 500 lbs heavier up front.
Consider using OME 790 for CRD applications in the front, or for someone with heavy front bumper and winch rated at 500lbs.
In the rear, I use the Monroe 58649 load level coil over shocks, say bye to rear sagging !

What year is your KJ?
Steering rack will need to be replaced by the sounds of it.
Browse "Rock Auto" has a few rack & pinions brands to choose from for KJ.
I would also consider polyurethane rack bushings.
Don't have the Poly bushings link at the moment.
When it comes to sensors for the KJ, it is always best to source Mopar parts if possible.
You might want to consider another brand in parts beside Autozone...
My pcv was plugged with yellow foam, with below freezing temperatures thanks to short trips.
Good synthetic oil and driving the jeep to fully warm up, should cure the issues.
My yellow foam was nasty...eek..
