    Windshield cracking sound

Even after the re & re, the KJ shield still leaked. I ran a fine bead of clear GE silicone along the the top edge, and down both sides & leak then finally stopped. I hope the KK windshield is more co-operative. ;)

    Windshield cracking sound

If you have any movement in the glass by pressing on it, that is unacceptable. This can lead to leaks and the 3M windshield urethane is rated down to -70. Temporarily, you could get the jeep into a warm space and run a fine bead of GE silicone around the top edge. Glass shops may be able to re &...

    New jeep owner

Welcome to the forums. Without a lift, it may want to rub in tighter turns. My KJ 2004, I run 245-65-17 with spider trax wheel spacers. I am hopeful other KK owners will chime in to help.

Help identify source of an oil leak

Does not look overly wet, not dripping from your quality Mobil 1 filter. In behind the oil filter, there is the oil pressure sensor worth inspecting.

    Its time I introduced myself.

Welcome to the forums. What city or country do you live in? The 2004 was probably the best year as it did not suffer from window regulator issues. Have you obtained the build sheet for your Jeep? If it has the Trac Loc rear differential, it will require the 4 oz bottle of Mopar friction...

O M G.... How did the HVAC system even work?

Those filters look nasty !! Replace them, even use a shop vacuum in between service intervals? I wish the KJ would have had a cabin filter.

    2004 Liberty Control Shift Cable

Sorry to hear that you have to replace the cable at this time of year. Jeep's definitely do not like to sit for a year. You have to start, shift & drive them, otherwise problems like this may arise. Best wishes on cable replacement.

    Trouble finding contact

What year is your KJ Jeep? I see that it is a 4 pin connector. What color is the main wire into the connector? Pouring rain here, I'll try to look tomorrow in daylight hours.

Fill up and the jeep dies wont idel.

Keep in mind this is a pressurized system. If you leave it running then open the gas cap, you are asking for a trouble code. Do you have an engine light on?

Write off? Or worth getting fixed?

Welcome to the forums! Brine & Salt on roadways can be devastating to vehicles. I have seen way worse examples of rust on the KJ though. I am sure there are more experienced members here that can make some recommendations regarding the rust repairs.link below...

Rear brake backing plates, almost $400 what gives?

It's really a shame that the OEM stamped steel braking plates were not galvanized (zinc coated) It is definitely not cheap to replace the rear braking plates. Preventative maintenance is key, with all the salt / brine they place on winter roadways. Every 2 years, it is best to inspect rear...
