Leftover Parts for Sale [2004 KJ]

    7) And finally... 2 spare snow tires. Size 235/70R/16. I put around 10-15k miles on them I'd guess (that's probably generous). Were usually run between November and March here in the DC area. I did not run them this year... probably wouldn't have wrecked if I had them on, but oh well. These...

Leftover Parts for Sale [2004 KJ]

I did not have "sufficient privilege's" to post in the For Sale sub-forum so doing this here. As mentioned before, with pics, our KJ got totaled in mid February '23. As such, I no longer need the various parts I had bought over the years sitting in my basement waiting for me to install LOL. The...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Glad you were okay! And much lower speed which is helpful but yeah, definitely scary when you're not trying to spin on purpose. Sure I can post up the photos later this week. Not sure what such a set up would cost to ship if you're not local to me in the mid-Atlantic region (U.S.)? They are...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Lost the Jeep 2 weeks ago :( RIP. Hydroplaned at 60mph, lost the back end and couldn't save it. Slash didn't want to go to my right into 6 lanes of traffic. Did a 180 counter-clockwise, passenger rear quarter hit the concrete wall and I slid a ways down the hill on the interstate. At least this...

HOW TO: Bump Stops - Front & Rear Replacement

Ohhh I may call and order! Someone posted in April the set was $60. Not bad. These cheap $10 each Crown front bump stops are already fallen apart on mine sure enough haha. The Mopar ones are still $120 PER it’s wild.

2006 Liberty Sport 3.7 EVAP system nightmare. Seeking info, suggestions, help.

Well I replaced PCV valve over the weekend. Driven about 100 miles since and CEL still on. No dice. I did notice a small split in the hose beyond where it attaches to the valve however… wonder if it’s causing a vacuum leak and thus my P0456. My other thought is to replace my not-that-old Mopar...

2006 Liberty Sport 3.7 EVAP system nightmare. Seeking info, suggestions, help.

Nice! That was the original source of my leak too. I call it the “fuel sending unit” (idk if that’s right), since the actual “fuel pump” sits in the tank. Dumbest 2 piece design if you ask me. Did you try to get your old one soldered? Better than throwing it away since it’s a very limited part...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Used “iron remover” (Adam’s Polishes one) for first time over the weekend. Applied per directions after washing the car. Def got more of the purple ‘activation’ spots on our white car (albeit prbly easier to see) but I guess it worked here too haha. No I didn’t clay or wax after, just detail spray.

2006 Liberty Sport 3.7 EVAP system nightmare. Seeking info, suggestions, help.

Oh thanks for this, I’ll give that a try. I replaced my PCV valve prbly 40k miles ago but they’re $15 (Mopar) so why not try again. I got mine to pass emissions test last month after spending all that $$ but then my CEL came back on the week after, same P0456 code LOL. Screw it my registration...

    Engine and transmission mounts.

Looks like you can buy a Mopar one for 2002-2005 w the 3.7, it says “right” but I can’t find the “left”(?). Part #52059226AB. It’s labeled the same “4” in diagram so idk if they orient or not. Might check dealer too. Either way for $145 per, a lot together sure, I’d personally just go OEM/Mopar...

    No Key!

On my 2004 the ignition just required some security torx bits to remove. Also note the orientation of the various springs in it, I had one fly out that I had to find on the ground, causing a brief panic. If I did it in a Trader Joe’s parking lot you can too haha… that was a long day.

    My journey with the KJ

By "2k" do you mean like the two-stage paints places like Eastwood sell? If yes, I have looked on their site specifically but all the colors seem very generic (white, black, clear, etc.) and I am looking for that sort of dark grey factory look. Anyways, I ended up biting the bullet on a can of...

    My journey with the KJ

If you get around to painting I'd be very curious to see what you use and how it turns out! Here is what I was considering buying: SEM "Dark Grey" bumper coater plastic spray paint. I should really just buy a can and test it to see how well it color matches or not vs. a detailed panel on their...

    My journey with the KJ

Looking good, nice purchase! Like you our other car is a Yukon :) What is the product you used for "trim dye" on the bumpers? Is that just for detailing and lasts like 3-6 months, or is it more akin to a paint? Does it come in other colors? I ask because I have interest in eventually...

2006 Liberty Sport 3.7 EVAP system nightmare. Seeking info, suggestions, help.

@JeepSpace Any recent updates since June? I ask because my P0456 code remains, tags expired in May (still drive it everyday shhh), and I threw in the towel so it's back at the shop again today. I spent $1,035 two weeks ago there (haven't had the time with life lately) replacing the charcoal...

    Gas mileage

Man give me some of your guys gas mileage LOL. I get 14-15mpg around town (usually trying to not go above 2,000 rpm but I know gas mileage aint an exact science), and 17-18mpg on highway. Best I've done is like 330 miles out of a tank. Car is stock, with passenger tires still. I'm at about...
