    Wheels for 2003 liberty

If you wanted to fit 30's-31's on 16"s I believe you'd need an OME lift. Other than that what you have now wont work to go much larger.

    Wheels for 2003 liberty

I'm sorry, Re-gear your transmission? I think you mean Re-gear your front and rear differential. As for Wheel/Lift info, you wanna talk to @tommudd . He's the expert on that here.

    Get OBD readings using key

Does anyone have a good reader that works with Jeep’s? I have one, but it’s just a basic run of the mill engine code puller and such

    Get OBD readings using key

I've read about it before on here, but I cant seem to remember how to get codes to show up using just they key. Isn't it true that the key method will sometimes display codes a scanner may not?

    Transmission Re-Learn

I’ve only got 2 really good trans shops around me, and one quoted me for more than it would cost me to buy a reman myself. other one I have an appt with on Friday.

    Transmission Re-Learn

185K. Stock as far as I know, previous owner had it since 36K and never mentioned a transmission replacement.

    Transmission Re-Learn

I'm about 75% certain my torque converter is letting go. Cars getting a shudder only when the jeep is warm (Up to engine and trans temp) and at certain speeds/RPM's. Trans was serviced a few hundred miles ago, new filter, gasket, pan, and a fluid drain and refill with proper ATF+4. Wasn't...

    Transmission Re-Learn

So I believe my 42RLE is finally going out to pasture. I've been exploring multiple routes such as having a shop rebuild it, replacing it myself with a reman, etc. If I replace it myself, I keep hearing of a relearn period or program. Is there any way I can relearn it from my garage? Or would...

    Old noobie buys a KJ

This link will help you out immensely. http://www.colorado4wheel.com/manuals/Jeep/KJ/ If you need diagrams, removal, installation, part numbers, etc. I've gotten most of my info from these and this site as well. Specifically the Service manual portion and the Parts FICHE.

    How is the 3.7L balanced?

Ohh! Now I know what you mean. Yes when I replaced the brakes I also replaced the front hubs, as well as dressed the axle hubs in the rear. Everything was smooth and clean.

    How is the 3.7L balanced?

Hubs? As in front wheel hubs? Not sure what you mean.

    How is the 3.7L balanced?

No locking up whatsoever, jeep does not have cruise control, and I've never tried the OD method. Part of me thinks it could be transfer case related, as the case does have a significant leak at the output shaft, coming from the output bearing enclosure itself, and I've heard bad bearings can...

    How is the 3.7L balanced?

Rotors are brand new as in less than 6 months, and no other wheels. Previous owner states this had been going on before we even bought it. I thought it was originally a shot U-joint due to how much play the rear shaft had when we bought it. But that wasn't the case. And id think that the...

    How is the 3.7L balanced?

I'm honestly not sure what I'm asking anymore, more of trying to piece together info on what's out there. So my jeep, a 2007, has a driveline shake at 30-45MPH, and only at certain RPM's. Sounds like highway rumble strips. I'm trying to read up or learn about anything in the driveline that...

    How is the 3.7L balanced?

I saw this brought up in another thread yesterday was am now genuinely curious. How is the 3.7L motor balanced? Internally or externally? Does it use weights on the harmonic balancer and torque converter to keep it concentric? Or is it some sort of weights inside the block on the crank? If...

    Coolant leak. Water pump?

Yes, I would suspect your water pump. When the gasket on mine failed, it pooled directly in the center of the car and down the harmonic balancer. When I replaced mine, I removed old pump and gasket, cleaned the timing cover mating surface for the pump with scotch bright, then bolted down a new...

Alright final bump here. Jeep still shakes. sorry I couldn’t find a solution to the mysterious shake that some of these vehicles have, and that no ones ever found the “cure” for.
