    2004 Jeep Liberty 3.7 4x4 vibration/jerks at stead speed

Had the same issue with mine when I got the Jeep for cheap. Torque converter had went out, and would cause intermittent vibes on a flat surface, but would happen 100% going up an incline. Had mine rebuilt at a local shop for $2.2K with upgrades.

    Coolant Temp Gauge

Hey yall, just got a quick question. This past weekend I did some work to the cooling system of my Jeep. From what I could tell the system filled, and bled just fine. Gauge would heat up, then stay a hair below half way, the way its always has. BUT, is the coolant temp gauge a real gauge, or is...

Water Pump Gasket 3.7L--Is RTV necessary?

I replaced mine last winter with a Gates Metal Impeller and it came with a rubber gasket. After torqueing bolts to spec never had another drop leak from it regardless of temp outside

    Transmission fluid dipstick empty ?

To be safe, Id drain it all and refill. That way you know you're getting the correct fluid, and that you can refill to factory fill specs.

    42RLE Transmission Replacement - '04 Jeep Liberty

I was able to get my 42RLE rebuilt after the torque converter sh*t the bed at 185K. $2.2K for removal, complete internal rebuild (Clutch packs, solenoids + shift kit install) and new torque converter. Plus install. So far no issues. But also backed with a 3 year/30,000 mile warranty.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Added seat covers to the girlfriends KJ. Also got the rear wiper working, put the swing door interior trim back on, topped off oil (Was 1/2 quart low) and checked other critical fluid levels. Also made a list of parts to scavenge next time I go to the junkyard. Mostly interior plastic pieces.

Clunk chasing- only at take off- intermittent

Check shock bolts. When replacing rear shocks on my KJ somehow one of the upper mounting bolts came loose, causing a pop whenever the jeep moved off the line.

    Transmission fluid change?

I have yet to find a trans shop around me that will do a flush on any oldish trans. All they do is what's stated above. Pan drop, filter if needed and refill.

    The $500 ScienceMobile build

What color door panel do you need? I have a set of grey panels from an 06 Sport (Black exterior) that I'm no longer using. Armrests included. They're just sitting in my parts pile. Shoot me a message if you're interested.

Will 2017 Wrangler 16" rims fit my 2005 Liberty renegade?

Why not get new tires? Even a cheap walmart set will run ya around the cost of used tires. Yeah it aint the best but its better than nothing.

2005 to 2004 Jeep Liberty full Exhaust swap over

From having swapped my transfer case before, removing the crossmember isn't too bad. Its only 6-8 bolts. 4 on the transmission itself, and 4 on the frame. If memory serves me right.
