What did you do to your jeep today?

Well the end may be near for the wife's 2002 jeep liberty. No air and no heat because I can't find the correct blend door actuator. The wife got it used in 03 and it has been very well maintained. Oil and filter every 3 months, plugs every 30,000mi. , lifted since 2010 and it still runs and...

    Blend door actuator

Well I can't find the correct blend door actuator. They all have a 4 pin plug mine is a 3 pin. Even tried the dealership. From what I can find the early 02 Liberty's used a different actuator. No heat and no air, I guess we may finally have to replace one of our Liberty's.

    Blend door actuator

I pulled the dash in the wife's 02 and got the blend door actuator out tonight. The heater core busted this summer, had it replaced and now she has no heat. The actuator looked corroded inside and on the terminals where it plugs in. I assume the coolant got into the actuator when the heater core...

    Front axle bushing

I got the front passenger side axle seal out. My 07 liberty has the bushing and not the bearing. I slid the intermediate shaft only in to check for any play in the bushing. The intermediate shaft has some up, down and side to side play in it. My question is should there be any movement at all...

    Front axle seal replacement

I finally decided to try to remove the seal tonight. After trying screw drivers, every size pry bar I have, and looking at every tool I own, I decided to give up for the night. I just could not find anything that would work to remove the seal. Then I looked at my C clamps. I took a 3" c clamp...

    Front axle seal replacement

I believe it was Summit’s website that showed a plastic bushing and said 2 were required for the right side. So how hard is it to get the bearing out?

    Front axle seal replacement

Thanks for the replies. I can’t believe they used plastic bushings instead of bearings. I guess I will take everything apart and see what I’m dealing with. This is in my 07 and I hope it is a bearing not a bushing.

    Front axle seal replacement

I just noticed today that the front passenger side axle seal is leaking. Any tips on removing the seal? It looks like the seal is recessed in the axle tube two or three inches.

    Hello from NJ

Welcome to the forum. That Jeep looks really clean. Most around here are trashed if they are under $2500.
