    Fog lights

I can't now remember but just wondering if it's possible to turn the lights off with the foglight switch in the on position. I think the operation of the switch lever may have confused you, as it has many others (e.g. my KJ came with an after market rear fog because, clearly, a PO had never...

Renegade OEM Light Bar Comparable with Liberty Sport?

Try a fastener specialist. There are quite a few UK ones with websites that list/detail more bolts & set screws than I Knew existed, so I imagine the US is as well served. Otherwise, you may have to compromise, e.g. clearly they don't need to be Torx, maybe not countersunk, might even get away...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Hella "Super Tone B133" or, for something more stentorian, find an Audi in a junk yard. In any event, an additional relay & proper gauge wire will improve matters.

    Introduction - Hi all

One of my XJ's doesn't have a cat & it's got through the MoT like that for at least 6 years - & I've even had surprised comments on how low the emissions are. I've always put it down to its age & the fact it's probably the only one they see from one year to the next.

    Its time I introduced myself.

I can see that X-threaded bolts would only make the nightmare worse (which I hadn't thought possible) but, from memory, that wasn't the problem - despite Jeep deciding that, after 100-odd years, the flanges needed 6 - it was separating the flanges & finagling the the damn thing out. Certainly on...

    Welds on OEM KJ wheels?

Reminds me of "the good old days" of banded steel wheels. KJ wheels are cheap & plentiful, wait for some decent ones to turn up.

New KJ in the forum.. Q re wire on underside of hood…

Must admit that looks nothing like I imagined - also explains why I didn't recall seeing one on mine. Unless we're in the realms of "if it's there I want it to work" I suggest 1st question OP asks himself is "Do I have a need for remote start?"

    Its time I introduced myself.

Just removing the front shaft on a V6 is a nightmare, as several posts througout this forum will attest. I could change the shaft on an XJ in less time than it took to undo the bolts on the KJ. It is probably the best example of how the KJ is needlessly complex, difficult &/or expensive to work...

    Fog lights

Either the Germany or Sweden (probably Sweden) invented rear fogs, back in the mid-'70's & they have been mandatory throughout Europe since '81 (certainly in the UK) but it is Belgium that is obsessive about them so they require them to be retrofitted to all older vehicles. Most regulations...

    Introduction - Hi all

You were lucky to be able to get new cats, they're not available here (have to make do with universal ones) I don't think you can remap O2 sensors, afaik, they're all the same (if they have a black, a grey & 2 white wires) only the connectors are different. Not sure what you're trying to...

    Its time I introduced myself.

Personally, I think they did you a favour by replacing the front shaft with what they have: undoubtedly cheaper & will never need replacing again as it's repairable. Drive shafts are often rusty, depending on age & operating conditions, but what's important is the state of the u-joints, which...

New KJ in the forum.. Q re wire on underside of hood…

Yup, a picture might've helped, 'cos I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have one. Sounds like it might be a mercury switch for underhood light.

    Fog lights

Are you saying that with the foglight switch in the off position, they come on as soon as you turn the lights on, or the headlights? Do they go off with main beam? (as you have rear fogs, I'm assuming you're not in the US). Can't imagine conditions when you'd need rears on & not fronts but not...

What did you do to your jeep today?

If the weather on Boxing Day (26 December) had been like last Thursday - & stayed like that for at least most of the time I was off over Christmas/New Year who knows what I might have achieved? As it is, the KJ now has to take 2nd place to getting the one running XJ through inspection, although...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Now Google is something I avoid like the plague (except for YT - because there really is no alternative) but like everything else it does there are alternatives, any number of on-line translation sites - & they're fine for foreign language posts, even even chunks of text but not for something...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I've never got on with Scamazon since a bad experience when it was an on-line bookshop. Made the mistake of buying something a few months back (don't remember why now) but any saving is negated by the £8.50 they plunder from my card account every month for the totally useless, meaningless, but...

You really thought the author of the recall notice knew there was a diesel.

What did you do to your jeep today?

They're some of the nicest XJ wheels but I didn't think 15's would clear the brakes on a KJ. if you want to run XJ wheels you really need Icons or Silver Stars, which are 16" Both nicer than any KJ wheels, imho.

Thank you Rod Stewart (well I don't actually remembers The Persuaders' original).
