My KJ was 2WD and I could care less what people thought of it. I had my share of ''purists'' who just walk away when you say you have a Liberty let alone not an actual 4WD. I had fellow Jeepers who said Bring it to the trails we'll get you through it without the 4WD, despite the jerks in every...
Short distances would be okay, the fact the Spare even the Doughnut is only meant to be driven just to the repair shop and back, of course if you have a full sized on matching wheel you should do out a 5 tire rotation anyways so you have near matching tread depths to minimize damage to any...
A tire can not last indefinitely, it is a rubber/petroleum compound it will eventually dry out even if you put it in a climate controlled area. I had issues with the fact it is under DOT law that if a tire older than 10 years comes into a repair shop it's to be taken out of service and customers...
I worked for Bridgestone, the time limit for a tire being used is 6 years because it has begun drying out. A tire that is sitting non used that includes coming right out of the factory is 10 years.
Installed the rear loom that has Park Sense and Rear Fogs, now I've hit a ''road block''. BCM is programmed to activate, switch goes through the motions for activation/deactivation, module running check shows everything is active when switched, no Rear Fogs but I have to DTC's that say open...
Check the wiring loom that's on the passenger side in the engine bay, I had an issue similar to that which of course set off the ABS and shut down my cruise driving down to Orlando. Come to find out the loom came undone from it's latch to keep it away from the engine, so it was getting hot and...
Peeled off the dealership ''decal'' which was on the back, looked up as the lift gate was going up noticed it wasn't on there all the way one corner sticking up, when the gate was lowering I was able to peel it right off.
Personally I have not understood why Jeep did the Stop/Turn for the US Canada and Mexico Market where the rest of the export market had amber turn signals. There's no difference in the light units, though the export market outside of Canada and Mexico do have a different outer brake light same...
You'll have to remove the whole thing you might be able to take the trim off the buttons once you remove them, pretty simple pop off the horn/air bag, disconnect them from their connectors unscrew and remove them.
I don't think they are removable, I'm trying to remember when I installed cruise on my KJ that either 2 or 4 screws hold the set up in on the spoke of the wheel. Are you planning on putting them back on afterwards or leave off?
It's two screws one on each side, and they're one piece.
Did some programming, which rear fogs are now active just need to put the switch and rear wiring harness in. I'm surprised because the dealership I'm ordering parts from is ACTUALLY selling me the parts!
Turn Signals set to Export, no more stop/turn combination
Programmed the fogs to stay...
Well I ordered export rear wiring harness for rear fogs, and headlight switch... Got the idiot email today asking for my VIN.... So I'm awaiting now for the response that these won't fit my WK2....
Part numbers can be tricky as well, as I found out that the facelift Export Tail Light was the same Part Number as the Domestic Tail Light so when I ordered it I got a regular instead.
