Eh...42RLE is an adapted FWD transaxle. It wasn't great in that capacity either lol. Turning it sideways and converting it to a longitudinal 2wd/4wd trans is suspect at best lol. At least the RFE was designed for what it does. Plus if you throw 4.10's in the Jeep and still street/highway...- 04Liberty

The 2003 with the TCM is your 45RFE. Your 05 by default has the crap 42RLE. All 45/545RFE transmissions both 2 and 4wd are interchangeable. The RFE was used from '99 through 2013 in most cases. That's because you don't have the factory module wired in so that it times out or cuts it if it gets too warm lol. They aren't just wired to hot, switch and ground from the factory lol. -

To add them yes, you need a premium BCM. The Mopar add on kit will come with the switch (if it is new/complete). If you have RKE then you have a premium BCM. -

Mobil1 5W-30 every 6000 miles with filter change. Ran like a top, no sludge til the ex-wife took off with it. The trick was making sure she warmed it up and didn't just get in and go for short hops. I use this same interval for my hemis.- 04Liberty

Gas Tank capacity.
Standard reserve for those vintage Mopars is 6gal. My 03 Ram has a 26gal tank and unless I run it well past 'E' I generally can only put about 20gal in it. Same with my LX's.- 04Liberty
