abs problems
I have to say it is personal preference. Mine doesn't have ABS and I'm grateful. If you find yourself sliding through intersections or anything you probably need new tires or something. ABS doesn't make it easier to stop, they just take the stupid out of the driver. There's no substitute for...- rockymountain

I have 1 extra iso per side. I've tried two and removed one. I had a vibe the first time I drove down the road with my lift. Couple pics from ODZ jeep jam 2012
Here's a couple shots from the Jeep jam. They have a lot of pics there at odz jeep jam Really was fun. I highly recommend it. I got a lot of "wow, really a liberty...?". Would be fun to get a group of KJs to go next year.- rockymountain

Since the outage I found I didn't get a snap ring seated on one side of a ujoint. That was where my vibration was coming from. Now it almost completely gone and really isn't a big deal. Mine just doesn't like the lift for some reason. The higher it goes the worse it gets and vice versa.- rockymountain

Funny thing is I drove over 200 miles with my KJ loaded. It was squatting and the whole time I didnt have any of those vibes. Even tho I have brand new spicer ujoints I still have a tiny vibe around those speeds but they were completely gone with it loaded down.- rockymountain

can the speedometer be re-calibrated?
I did it for proper shifting and correct gas mileage calculations. Really worth $25 to not rely on a gps or doing calculations to get a good estimate.- rockymountain

I recallibrated my 04. need to do it again. About 3-4 MPH off on the highway. It cost me $25 at the dealer. Hopefully they do it again for that price.- rockymountain

Haha! No way!! In gonna try turning the drive shaft a half turn tomorrow and see what that does. Drove on the highway and it seems like it has to be the rear driveshaft. Rumbles under power and stops while coasting at over 70 mph.- rockymountain

Yep, they're fine. Each wheel n tire was only a half ounce out. The bad thing about it is that it feels like it is coming from this but it is deceiving. I need someone to just diagnose it. I fixed the cv boot. I just went to NAPA, spent 10 bucks and came home with a pair of clamp pliers and 5 small boot clamps. I still have a vibe though. I might take the driveshaft to a driveline specialist around here or something. I'm about to request a name change to "I hate my KJ". I'm down...- rockymountain

Well, the vibration is a lot better however I'm not quite satisfied. I think I may have a axle shaft bearing that's bad. It would be easy to replace if I had the right tools. I got the new one in. It seems on the inner joint the boot clamp is too close to the joint. I'm talking about the small clamp on the shaft. The boot seems too bunched up when sitting at normal. I plan on getting a set of boot clamp pliers and repositioning it. Any other way to do this? I have to...- rockymountain

I have my right side completely torn down, gonna install another NAPA reman in the morning. This cv is really bad. I held it in my hand and can feel a clunk inside when twisting it. This one lasted about 10 months. New one goes in again 11/10/2012.- rockymountain
