CRD Exhaust Options
Looking for some ideas for a new exhaust on my CRD. Would be interested in a "kit" but also would be afraid of fabing something myself. If I fab something myself, it will be a tubo back system with a muffler. Thinking an MBRP or a Magnaflow muffler with 2.5" tubing. What have you guys used?- RockinRam96

How long do the glow plugs typically cycle in these engines? When I tried starting it, they only stayed on for maybe 5 seconds. I know my dodge pick ups is more like 15-20 (different type of heating element though).- RockinRam96

How do these motors like to act in the cold? The past few days it has been extremely cold here (in the single digits F). My jeep had been sitting for about 2 days and I tried to start it. I would like to regear. I just don’t know what direction to head. I’d like to look into upgrading axles/ rear axles. And I’d like a locker. So I figured I’d do it all at one time. Rather than swapping our ratios to only swap out axles and do it all over again.- RockinRam96

Not real sure the impact these will have on mpg. From what I can gather these weren’t that great on fuel even in stock form (26-27 highway). I had a Jetta that did 45+ mpg. I don’t think I ever mentioned it here. They are 265/75/16 Super Swamper Irok ND. I don't plan on many actual on highway miles with this truck. It may only see 5,000 miles a year.- RockinRam96

I mean I am think of them stretched out on a Jack stand at the very bottom of the travel and they are a little tight. I am sure sitting in the ground it won’t be nearly as bad. Yeah I figured it was tied to post count…. 50 post seems like a lot but I get it.- RockinRam96

Yeah major ***** up on my end not marking the alignment bolts. It will be going to the shop right away so I can always have them look at it. Boy that seems like a long way to pull the strut fork down to get to the a-arm. But I’ll give it a shot. Thanks.- RockinRam96

Also, went to register the Jeep the week before last, turns out a PA title needs to be notarized. I sent it out in the mail on 12/21. The previous owner still hasn't received it in the mail... Getting redy to tow-adding HD cooling-trying to read trans temp
Look into Mag-Hytech pans. I put one on my dodge with a 68RFE. Has a hole drilled and tapped for a temp sensor, plus it comes with an o-ring instead of a gasket. I was told the 545RFE used the same pan an the 68s. But then maybe the 545 is only a diesel Liberty option as well.- RockinRam96
