Sorry, I re-read that part of the conversation and misunderstood, I thought you were talking about cutting the front bump stops, I missed the part about the 4 inch rear bump stops. I will not be cutting the front ones, I should read a little closer while working.- randymorris

That’s also good to know, I will cut down the teraflex bumpstops for the front of the truck. And no cutting down is needed in the rear, just add the hockey pucks. I’m placing my order for all of this today. I can’t wait until it all arrives and my KJ is back to being functional.- randymorris

Got it, ok. So jba UCAs or different wheels with more backspacing would help. Which do you think would be the more cost effective solution to fixing the rubbing after the rest of this work is done? That’s what I found last night. I assume that’s what I feel while driving now. I’m ordering the parts at the beginning of next week, just gotta wait for a few checks to clear. Had a client pay me early yesterday, so I am moving up my timeframe on fixing these issues.- randymorris

So I poked around the front of my vehicle to identify the major rubbing happening right now, and found the upper control arm resting against the tire. They kept my alignment in shape in my explorer, but this Jeep hasn’t kept alignment once the ball joints wore out and the other steering and suspension components failed.- randymorris

Good to know. I won’t waste my money on Firestone then.
