Lower Radiator Hose / Coolant Leak

Before a big trip (~2500mi) I replaced a leaky lower radiator hose as well as rusted clamps on my 2011 Jeep Liberty - the coolant reservoir seemed to be holding well both during and after the trip, although now I’ve been noticing the reservoir emptying only a few days after filling it. Where I...

Tips For Removing Stuck Solenoid Pack Harness?

I think I heard something about bolt 5 using lock and seal adhesive (blue loctite) - will look further into that as well, thank you! Definitely leaning on some new bolts as these are rested to all hell.

Tips For Removing Stuck Solenoid Pack Harness?

I think what happened was the RTV chipped off inside the pan and clogged the filter - that combined with the “it’s good for the life of the vehicle!” excuse enabled lazy people to never bother checking it. Thanks for the info on the fluids, helps plenty. One final question in regards to the...

Tips For Removing Stuck Solenoid Pack Harness?

Well guys, I’m almost done with the repair - been keeping it in a friends garage far off because there’s too much dust where I’m staying to have done this outdoors... had a couple of problems including a stripped valve body screw (was stripped before I went in, just wouldnt budge so i figure...

Tips For Removing Stuck Solenoid Pack Harness?

Just got it out - only took 3 days of reapproaching it . As for photos, I will get under the car again and take a photo of the sensor harness I was having trouble with. For my particular vehicle, the sensor harness had to first have a red locking tab removed which was a total *****, pushed it...

Tips For Removing Stuck Solenoid Pack Harness?

Had another thread regarding the solenoid pack itself but seeing as this is sort of a different topic thought I should make another thread where this nuanced question might get more exposure... Trying to take the solenoid wiring harness off of the solenoid block itself on my 2011 Liberty Ltd...

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

I’ve got everything in order except the solenoid pack wiring harness. I even got the red locking tab out, but it simply refuses to come off. Does anyone have any tips regarding the machinations of this particular harness? I’m at a loss as to whether I’m supposed to squeeze it a certain way, or...

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

So... thought it was just the manual shaft rusted as it’s a jeep that was primarily on the east coast. Turns out that trying to pry the valve body downward was the worst idea ever and I most definitely bent the blade (rooster comb?) attached to the parking sprag rod upward, i’m hoping that...

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

Anyone have any suggestions on loosening the valve body sensor connections? They seem literally impossible to remove by hand, I had to remove the front axle drive shaft to even remotely get to the shifter / linkage and sensors on the drivers side, tried to use a flathead to gently hammer out the...

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

I haven’t been able to find anything that’s absolutely clear on this so I figure I’ll ask you directly - do I need just one of the two (RTV sealant vs LubeLocker) or do I combine both? I ordered a pan that includes RTV sealant but I’ve also went ahead and purchased the lubelocker 42rle gasket...

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

Just a little update.. ordered a valve body solenoid pack from here - part sku is advertised as the #5...AA. I called them up and asked the guy and he confirmed that is the correct part number, I notice there’s a “sku alias” that refers to part #4...AA on the bottom of the page, the part just...

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

Yes sir, that’s actually the chart I used to initially refill the trans fluid, since I didn’t have any advanced diagnostics tool I just ran the engine until it was warm (right at the middle on the temp gauge) and filled until it was ~40mm.

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

I have not seen a leak, had a coolant leak that I fixed before the trip so was paying very close attention to leaking fluids etc the last 2 months... at least from what I can tell - also, used a sh**y autozone scanner they supplied me with, nothing too advanced

    Transmission Solenoid Pack Confusion...

Thanks for the swift reply, I’ll definitely do so for future referencing - Vehicle : Jeep Liberty (KK) 2011 4WD LTD Error Codes Read: P0750 Shift Solenoid “A” I believe the trans is 42RLE, correct? I also would like to note that the trans fluid was incredibly low at around 10mm while at...

Getting Started With Lifting... (2011 Liberty KK)

10-4, bought about 6 hockeypucks, going to do what you’ve stated, I just figured itd be less sketchy since I’ve decided to have my mechanic do the work - but I’ll have the hockey pucks preassembled and ready to be placed - would you recommend 2 or 3 for each rear bump stop based on my suspension...
