It's great fun in the KJ. I'm hoping to have mine where I want it this summer so that I can go drive Black Bear Road this summer. Been on a few trips with some tricky stuff, got through most of it with no help. But tow hooks are always a good addition if you don't have a winch.
Put all new ignition coils on the Jeep last night. I think it has a little bit better acceleration now that the new ones are on there. The old ones only had 109,000 miles on them.
I just found these Tomken sliders on 4 wheel parts, are they any good?

Yeah I just got a quote from the guy cause I was curious. He is charging $350 for building, installing, and painting or bed lining them. I think I will just pass as these really do look like knock offs of the Super Skinks and from the looks he welds them to the frame. No thanks.
Yeah I think they are either 3" or 4". I would have to measure to be certain, but I have seen it done with about any drop you want. If you want to know exactly I can measure them after work or possibly around lunch if you want the exact size I used.
As for this, I thought about it, but my heater has always run plenty hot in those kinds of snow storms to keep my windows free of ice. In fact I usually have to crack a window it get so warm.
So I understand what you are saying, and if they don't work in this direction well all I have to do is drill out 8 rivets on each and flip the direction. At the moment it is keeping the engine just a tick cooler, which is just where I wanted it. But the real reason was so that hot air could...
Ok that would make sense. I have only really washed it due to power steering fluid being thrown everywhere. I don't do it all the time, but I do understand what you are saying and it is something that I will keep in mind for the future. Although here in Colorado we don't get the same kind of...
Ok if that is the case is it an issue with water sitting in the spark plug holes and getting though the boots on those? Cause I have washed my engine at the car wash several times and then driven it and I have never had any issues with it being wet.
They are held on the hood with rivets. And there is no real way to keep water out of the engine bay as the whole bottom of the engine is exposed...:happy175:
And I don't think it should really cause an issue unless you are fording a river, and then you might have bigger problems.
So there is still you have blown a head gasket. I had to rebuild mine about a year ago and my fluid level was still up and my oil was not milky. It only takes one little leak into the head to create a problem. The heads are aluminum on an cast iron block. It only takes overheating once to cause...
