How to: Replace HVAC blend door actuator

It seemed to work fine once I installed it. I did the calibration steps but I didn't notice it actually doing anything... My actuator was broken and would just spin nonstop in the direction you turned the dial, which caused the blend doors to get all jammed up. So just replacing the actuator and...

    Correct blend door actuator?

The actuator was bad but the blend doors were also jammed up so I pulled the entire hvac system out and lubed the joints of the blend doors and cleaned it all out and replaced the actuator. Everything works properly now! I just need to figure out what part of my AC needs fixed to get the temp...

    Rear axle play?????

What about being able to rotate each wheel a bit before they grab and turn the axel? I am wondering if the rear-differential is loose from wear or something because I can turn my rear wheels a little bit before I feel them grabbing in the differential... I also feel a jerk sometimes when I hit...

AC Compressor issue - Help please

I just filled the refrigerant, replaced the blend door actuator and ensured the blend doors are working properly... Pressure is there, but the compressor keeps kicking on and off every 10 seconds. Air is blowing ambient temp as well... Any ideas? TIA

    Correct blend door actuator?

Thanks, I read through that one a few times :) I plugged in my old actuator and ran it uninstalled so I could see how it was turning, and it would just turn constantly in one direction, then if I switch tempurature, it would turn the other direction, without stopping. So my actuator was...

my temp selector is reversed(hot is col cold is hot). what could be wrong??

When I install a new actuator, do I do the calibration with the actuator plugged in, but not installed? Also, should the new actuator gear line up already or do I need to open it up and rotate it to fit?

How to: Replace HVAC blend door actuator

When you are installing the new motor, is it supposed to line up with the gear fitting in the hvac panel? Or do you have to open it up and rotate the gear to fit?

    Correct blend door actuator?

Thanks for the parts manual! I did not see any other electronic blend door actuator on the jeep, so I am guessing they have their listing incorrect. Funny the guy was even trying to tell me that it controls a different blend door and that it does go on my jeep, but he also said he had no...

    Correct blend door actuator?

Had autozone order me one, and this is the one they ordered: https://www.autozone.com/cooling-heating-and-climate-control/a-c-heater-blend-door-actuator/santech-a-c-heater-blend-door-actuator-mt18524/586628_234394_0 Clearly is not the blend door actuator, but I am wondering... Is this actually...

    exhaust donut gaskets

Hey, I bought some muffler cement and used it around the donut and the two end pieces to add some filler into where it needs to seal up and to create a smoother surface where the flange was all rough and rusted from the old wire mesh gasket... It seems to have worked. The kind I got seems to be...

Walker cat, exhaust flange donut gasket leak?

I just installed a new bank1 walker cat on my 2003 Jeep Liberty 6cyl. The gasket that walker supplied with the cat is not creating a seal, and leaks exhaust out of the side... I also had to cut the bolt and bought new bolts and springs from autozone for 9.99. So I am wondering, is the donut...

Coolant system question! (Blown upper radiator hose)

Also, I ended up pulling the overflow tube that goes to the reservoir side, off the reservoir, and pouring coolant down that into the radiator/upper hose.

Coolant system question! (Blown upper radiator hose)

Haha awesome. The hex key I used started turning / bending the inside of the bolt though... I am not sure much more force will do anything but destroy it!

Coolant system question! (Blown upper radiator hose)

I will look into that! I will say, for some reason the bleed valve bolt/nut is impossible to get off my jeep. I tried the big allen key, almost broke it, tried an impact with an alllen key adapter, tried a big solid metal key and hitting it with a hammer. that thing will not move (all of this...
