04 liberty 3.7 blown head gasket, I'm looking for a little advice please, here is my story.

When you had the head machined, did you get it pressure tested? Machine shop would have been able to catch a bent valve if it was done.

Given the lifter keeps popping off, it wouldn't be a surprise to have the valve seat come loose. How does the spring look? Is it compressed more than the other at any given time? I would suggest not running it until you determine what's up. The head itself can break on the valve train side and...

If you have access to an air compressor you can get a cylinder leak down tester. Same idea as a compression tester, but shop air is put to the cylinder. If if doesn't pressurize you obviously have a problem. To verify its a valve train issue, put a rubber glove over the exhaust pipe and if it...

A lifter stuck half way down is generally ****** and usually caused from lack of oil changes or a weak spring in the lifter. Replacing the one will fix that particular issue, but I personally would do all of them. A synthetic oil may be more ideal in this case, consistency is more consistent and...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I would flush out the entire cooling system. If at any point global coolant is used with 5 year or 10 year (HOAT), you will get sludge (gelling) and it will clog your heater core and rad..... trust me we make a lot of money of those;)

    Security system problem

SRS and Security are completely different systems. depending on the SRS issue the only thing in common could possibly be the steering column, but that would only be for the driver air bag. They may be indirectly "related", but they aren't related issues. Depending on what you drive, there may be...

    Help with mystery front driveshaft

PM you vin, i"ll check and see if any info is in the configuration list of your lib. I'm looking in service data and it almost looks like they used part of a Durango front drive shaft. it's quite possible the early production models didn't have enough parts and made something work from factory.

Pull it apart, might get lucky and its just a rocker wasn't on proper, but inspection is best. These aren't a hard engine to work on, you can have the timing cover and heads off in a reasonable amount of time if needed. You will sleep better knowing what the issue is though.

    Chrysler 8.25 Steel Diff Cover

I'll have to see if they ship to the great white north. I like local (mom and pop) made stuff. The rustic, but clean look is pretty appealing. Good call on the fel-pro gasket. Using a punch to smash off the silicon and cover would be less than ideal.

    Chrysler 8.25 Steel Diff Cover

How is the diff cover working out so far? Looks pretty sweet once painted. I see they can have a drain plug drilled in if requested.
