I just looked into this and you are right. My switch is bad. There is evidence of corrosion on the switch. I jumped out the switch and the flipper glass pops open. I now have to find a part number and order this switch. Thanks for your help.
Only major Issue I had was the Transmission blew less than 1,000 over my warranty. Other than that my flipper glass actuator doesn't work on the rear door and the PLASTIC, YES PLASTIC, AC condensor cracked and I replaced it with steel one.
I have the OPPOSITE problem. My keyfob works but my rear door handle actuator does NOT pop the glass. It only opens the door. I wonder if MY issue is THIS switch in the photo. Anybody know?
Check out the Yaesy FT-90. You can find them on ebay around $150 to $200. Super tiny and they are dual band (HF/UHF). It fits in between the passenger seat and console or under the temp controls.
I put a dab of clear silicone at each screw when I installed my light bar in case any water did make it to that area. It also helps prevent any rattles.
I tried A LOT of back to black products... Mothers, Finish Line... the BEST was Turtle Wax BLACK CHROME. It is incredible. Been using it on my 89 Mustang GT Convertible 23 years. All the plastic (on a convertible there is A LOT of plastic) still looks new to this day. I must say it wasn't always...
