Total newbie - help with my first lift…
The best upgrade I did to my Jeep was the OME lift and regearing. So my opinion is, don't try other lifts, as other members have stated in the past, they are not worth it (except of Bilstein shocks)... Also, if you plan to put larger tires, you should also regear. MPG change with lift
Tyres make the biggest difference. Size and type of tyre... If you change tyres without regearing your MPG will fall more... After regearing i noticed a slight change for the better especially in city driving... I get 12.7lt/100km (18MPG) on highway with 120-130km/h and approx 16.8lt/100km...- nbas

Install Teraflex 231J 2WD Low Kit
As far as i know, KJ's have either NV231 (2WD, 4WD Part Time, 4Lo) or NV242 (2WD, 4WD Full Time, 4WD Part Time, 4Lo) -

If you have the automatic transmission 42RLE as I do, have in mind that when cruising in the highway the auto trans will change to 4th gear very early, meaning that with the slightest incline it will go back to 3rd, then back to 4th... 245/75/r16 vs 235/75/r16
I use 30mm (1.2") wheel spacers on 245/75R16 tires and I barely rub on reverse when fully turned. If you go on 245/75R16 then my best advice is to regear to 4.10. It is really needed in my opinion. Just did it (the regearing) and there is a huge difference! MPG is also better...- nbas

As LibertyTC said. Best is to have transmission in neutral and be just moving when shifting to 4Lo. As soon as you are in 4Lo, you can use the shifter accordingly. Check engine light
Had exactly the same issue. I run the car until the empty light came on. Then put a higher octane gas and within 20km the light came off. Actually the light did not light up when I turned on the car. It did not come off while driving...- nbas

Transfer Case Swap
I am using full-time 4WD most of the time. Holds much better in turns than rear wheel drive. It can be used in paved streets, whereas the part-time 4WD cannot.- nbas

Anyone have a conversion for volts to actual transmission temp?
If you have the '07 Liberty with CanBus, you will most probably be able to read the Transmission Temp from your phone with Torque App. It worked fine for a Jeep Wrangler 2008 of a friend of mine (42RLE with CanBus). I bought a PML cast Aluminum transmission pan with drain plug for my 42RLE transmission, from US. So I cannot help you with that. I bought two actually, one for my KJ and another one for a 2008 JK of a friend of mine (they both share the same transmission 42RLE). We ate both very happy with it.- nbas

Since you are in Europe as I am, check ato24 in Germany. I buy all my Mopar fluids from there and there is no shipping above 200Euro. I have no affiliation with them, I just checked their prices which were far better than the ones in Greece...- nbas
