Great!!! We'll see you there. Oh, and don't forget to bring along some oxygen for some of the high mountain passes. Imogene Pass (Wells #3) is at 13,114 ft. The air up there is pretty thin and it's cold and windy, even in July....
Tint.
Tires and wheels would be next depending on if your new Jeep is going to see any serious dirt and rocks. If it's not, what you have looks okay. Oh, and full skids would be right up at the top of the list along with better tires and wheels if you're going off-road. For what I think...
Casey... Beth said thanks.
Check in over on LOST for details... Vern said he'll lead a run up there this Sat, meeting at the WalMart in Globe.
Oh, and good to see you back!!!
Hey guys... I'm sorry to say I have to bow out leading this trip. Beth's back is bothering her big time and there is something wrong with the Liberty I need to get checked out.
Once again, sorry.

July Run - Sierra Ancha Mountains
Beth and I are putting together a run for July 12th.
The plan is to run up US 60 to Globe, turn west on Highway 188 and then go north on dirt road 288 to Young. We can go straight to the trail a few miles south of Young OR continue on to Young for a quick...
Another fun trip under our belt. Wish more people could have made it.
The Crown King trail (Wells #38) is rated difficult. Beth's stock height daily driver KJ has been pushed to it's limit. We had to take the 'strap' twice.
Check out the trip report and pictures HERE....
Russ... sorry you and Mary can't make it. Yeah, tell me about the gas prices. That and the heat (supposed to be 114* today) I can't blame anyone for passing on this run.
It's been a few years since we 've done the CK trail and then, it was in the TJ. I remember the last few miles to be the...
Wow!!! What's up? I can't believe none of the regulars are interested in the run up to CK tomorrow. :( sad2.gif
EDIT: On the other hand, with gas prices what they are AND the heat (supposed to be 114* tomorrow) I can see why there's not much interest....
Vern, from over on L.O.S.T. is putting together a trip for Sat, Jun 21... the Backway to Crown King (Wells #38). For anyone on this site that's interested, there's more info HERE....
LOL... how you've changed over the past year since we've been wheeling together AND that's a good thing!!!
Okay, the only trail I know up by the rim is just south of Young off of 288, the dirt road that runs to Hwy 188. The trail cuts across the mountains and comes out at Punkin Center. You...
Wow!!! This has been posted for a week and there are no suggestions or inputs as where and when for another run. What's up, is everyone tired of getting out and about???
L.O.S.T. Ouray, CO Run... July '09
Come on folks... you need to check this out and make plans to attend. It's a great way to get out of the Arizona heat for awhile. It's still a long way off, but that gives you enough time to get your resources together, plan some time off from work and do...
High Altitude Expedition - 2008!!!
It's time to take the KJ "High Altitude" Edition out of storage and hit the trails of southwest Colorado again...
We're leaving Phoenix Sep 13 for Ouray, CO and will return on Sep 19. As always, everyone is welcome to join in for some fun trails high up...
Okay, so it's getting a tad warm here in the Valley, but we all have A/C so that shouldn't be a big factor.
Is anyone up for a run in June or July? Dates and location are open for discussion...
