    Iron Rock Rear A-arm

Laziness is the only reason. Its seamless, but Ive not really taken the Jeep offroad since installing it so I cant comment on how useful it is.

Jeep overheats only when A/C is on, cant figure out why

Does your Jeep have a small or large fan shroud? If it has a large fan shroud, you will not be able to touch the oil filter from the top side. For some reason, most 04's already came with the bigger fan shroud, so all I had to do was add the clutch and fan, very easy. I most recently found out...

2002 KJ Limited V6 - coolant expansion tank

Very nice! To answer your question, yes, its normal for coolant to immediately flow out of that hose. While the bleed screw is needed on other configurations, its not as important on your Jeep b/c of that hose. It will immediately allow any trapped air to escape into the overflow tank. Its a...

    Iron Rock Rear A-arm

Mistake I think I made, the instructions said to coat the adjuster in anti-seize, so I did... Thinking I should've used locktite now...

Jeep overheats only when A/C is on, cant figure out why

I'm not sure how the 05 Libertys work, but I know my 04 just has low & hi speed fan relays that are controlled by the PCM, very simple. Certain year liberty's (02-some 03's?) had a solid state relay under the battery. I'm not sure when the high speed kicks on (I want to say 230F) but I know my...

    Iron Rock Rear A-arm

Heads up, thats a big ol nut. I used a pipe wrench to tighten it the first time and it loosened up... So I used a pipe wrench to tighten it up again... Seemed like a good idea. If it loosens up again, Im going to make a wrench from a scrap piece of steel I have and use a hammer to tighten it up.

Jeep overheats only when A/C is on, cant figure out why

Overheating at low speeds is typically an air flow issue. Do you know if it has a two speed fan? Is the high speed working?

    Brake grabbing

When this happens, if you stop and jack up the Jeep, is the wheel with smoking brakes still hard to turn? If so, what happens if you loosen the bleeder screw? Is it still hard to turn? If so, you simply have a bad caliper (again). If it loosens up, you have something upstream causing the issue.

    Time for 4.10 gears!

All seems well. Wish I could've done it 15 years ago, but I didn't really have the tools or the know how. Its recommended for the new gears, not the TT. FYI, if anyone is wanting some front 4.10 gears, there is a set on ebay. Offer them $300 and I bet they will take it. I already have an...

    03 Liberty worth saving?

Only you can answer that. If you have no reason other than needing the Jeep to drive, it may be time to let it go. I enjoy my Jeeps, so the cost of keeping them going is null and void for me.

    Best aftermarket radiator

The original mopar rad in your 05 had trans cooler ports? If thats true, thats odd, b/c I thought only the 2002 and some 2003s had that. I just replaced the rad in my 04 with a mopar rad and it does not have those. I always wanted a mopar rad with them for the additional cooling, but after...

    Passenger Floor Wet - Solved

Mine has a rubber elbow on it so this doesn't happen. Common issue on ZJ's though, they exit inside the frame (horrible, horrible design) with no elbow. Once the seal goes bad around the drain, it comes back inside.

    sudden Catalytic Converter blowout?

They do break up inside and will rattle, but I wouldn't say its common on Libertys. I have four Jeeps and I've never had a cat go bad. One has 275,000mi on it. If I did have one go bad, I would just buy a magnaflow cat and clamp it in. If you have a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer, you can...

    Rear end swap

Thats an odd situation there. Since there is a C-clip laying there and you say the rear end went side to side, I'm thinking something happened to an axle shaft. There is also a bearing roller laying there. I'd say something got sucked between the pinion and ring gear.

    more comfortable front seats?

2002-2004 limited seats. Aside from the small foot well, my 04 is probably the most comfortable vehicle Ive ridden in.

Anyone have a conversion for volts to actual transmission temp?

There isn't a standard for volts to temp conversion, it could be anything. You would need to know the range for the sensor before you would know. Using an infrared 'point and shoot' on the pan would work. I used a temp probe tapped to the 'measuring device' and pushed it down in the tube to...

    Transfer case stuck

Can you move the lever on the transfer case by hand? Please keep in mind the position next to 4low is NEUTRAL. Dont run yourself over. You may need to jack up the rear of the Jeep and move the tires a bit to get it to shift.
