FRONT DIFFERENTIAL RIGHT MOUNT BRACKET!!!!
I'm a bit late to the party here, but when my front diff bushings went bad and I couldn't find replacements I got a tube of urethane (for sealing cracks in concrete) from Home Depot and I filled the voids in the bushing with the urethane. Puzzled by steering wheel being off 20 degrees?
Thought I'd just put this old string to bed in case anyone else has a similar experience. I re-centered the steering wheel multiple times (by adjusting the tie rods equal rotations either side) but it would always drift off of center again after a drive or 2. Don't know what year yours is but I recall there being a certain torquing procedure in the 02 manual and a different (simpler) procedure in the 03 and later manuals. Window Switch Module Compatibility Question
I have a 02 and the drivers window switch has started misbehaving. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. As I look for a replacement switch module I see that new 05 to 07 modules can be had for as little as $20 but new 02 - 03 modules start at $130. They look identical as far as I can tell...- Shankster

Interesting, any idea who sold them or under what brand name? I'd like to verify what ball seat repair kit I need if possible. Mine doesn't vibrate - it has balance weight tacked on. Good to know but based on the searching I've done in the last couple of weeks there are plenty of failures, and pretty sure the original on my vehicle failed or else little old lady wouldn't have replaced it. I'll use that as a possible plan B (new or used factory style driveshaft) but for now...- Shankster

The u-joints actually seem fine. They have zerk fittings and I pumped grease in there till the old stuff had oozed out and the new grease was oozing out behind it. The old stuff seemed clean and the consistency was still good. What I suspect is squeaking is the "ball seat" between the 2 u-joint...- Shankster

Definitely welded at some point in its life - looks good enough to be a factory job but who knows, could have been done by a competent local shop welder too. Good info, thanks! However, I can guarantee that the little old lady I bought it off had no plans to lift it. Pretty sure it never even saw gravel, let alone a 4wheelin trail, given its condition - not even a rock chip. I'm guessing she took it to a drivetrain shop to get the CV joint fixed and...- Shankster

I have about a 2.5" OME lift and I'm running 245/75-16s with the stock 3.73 gearing. I don't doubt it would be better with the 4.11 gears but that would be a big cost commitment I'm not willing to make right now. I don't notice much difference in drivability when I'm on my 225/75-16 snow tires...- Shankster

What size are the Ring Gear bolts on the Dana 30 Super in my 2002?
Just to close out this thread in case anyone else needs the info. My ring gear bolts are 3/8". Sadly, the P/N 701071 NOS Dana Spicer bolts I got off ebay that I thought were 3/8" are actually 7/16". I'll just reuse my old ring gear bolts. I don't know if some Libertys have 7/16" but my mid-year...- Shankster

Yep, my bad, 70-90 lbs/ft per the 02 manual - that's what I get for googling. Still seems a lot. I'll use whatever holes give the proper snug fit. I just went ahead and got some 3/8" bolts off eBay - they're NOS Spicer so quality should be fine. I read somewhere that the Dana 30 upgraded from 3/8" to 7/16" bolts some time around 2000 but who knows if that applied to the 30A or not, and if so when? 3/8" seems small for that amount of torque...- Shankster
