    Puddle Lamp Install

Installed some puddle lamps in the mirrors the other week and thought I would just post it up here - original write up was in the "what did you do to your Liberty" thread. Ok - so I removed the mirrors and ran the wires for the lights through the harness for the power mirrors. There is a cover...

    Spongy brakes??

Did you bench bleed the master before installing it? You have the calipers on the correct way with the bleed nipples facing up?

What did you do to your jeep today?

Ok - so I removed the mirrors and ran the wires for the lights through the harness for the power mirrors. There is a cover that pops off on the mirror where it folds in - this is how you can get the wires into the mirror housing behind the glass. Next you have to pull the boot off that runs...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I put in some puddle lamps in the side view mirrors today - cheap little mod that lights up the outside of the car when you unlock the doors. Was easy to wire them up to the interior lights as my truck is a sport and does not have the interior lamps in the footwells but the wiring is there so it...

Nothing wrong with having a spare parts truck around if you have the space.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Put a couple conduit nuts in up front and a spacer in the back for an extra little bit of clearance and then gave it an alignment - the set of tires that came on it were wearing unevenly so wanted to sort that out. Don't want to wear out my new snow tires :)

What did you do to your jeep today?

Productive day today - painted the wheels, freed up the seized park brake pivots, replaced leaking axle seal, new front quick struts, and new winter tires :)

What did you do to your jeep today?

Picked up a 06 for my winter commuter car - cleaned off all the green as it had been out in a field for a year and a half :)

    45RFE shift problem

I got a bit of a funny one here - 2002 Liberty with the 42RLE trans - shifts fine when driving around normally - what it is doing is lets say you are coasting down a hill and turn the o/d off for some engine braking - works great down the hill. Get to the bottom of the hill and get back on the...

    Radio

I have one of the USA Spec iPod adapters in my truck. Plugs into the CD changer port on the back of the radio. It works pretty good. This is my 3rd USA Spec iPod adapter I have owned - I have had good luck with all of them. My Liberty has the Infinnity stereo. Sent from my SM-G928W8 using Tapatalk

Retained accy power keeps the radio and the windows powered up after you take the key out of the ignition.

    Retained acc power

It must be programed into the BCM as I can't find a dedicated relay for it as in some other cars. Wonder if the dealer car program it in.....

    Retained acc power

Do newer Liberty's (05-07) have retained acct power? Would like to add it to my 02 but I don't really see anything looking through wiring diagrams at work. Sent from my SM-G928W8 using Tapatalk

In Deep with Air Bag light

First off Tom you should NEVER test the resistance of an air bag or the pretensioners with a meter. Your meter is putting current through that air bag and it could deploy the air bag. Second if you pull the clockspring apart you more than likely won't be able to put it back together. Sometimes...
