Be aware that the 05 panel will cycle the compressor even when not called for. not sure why but that is why I took it out of my 04 liberty and kept the original.
Hats off to Aceautowrecking2014 I found on Ebay out of New York, The pump and flange were in great shape and they shipped super fast - If your 02 thru 04 pump needs to be replaced make sure you flip the plastic tab up in the corner of the pump and then slide it out - it took me awhile to figure...
I was going to try this but it looks like many other cracks are about to begin, it also has cracks where the locking ring takes hold, I believe after 2005 the flange and pump are together so when you install a new fuel pump the flange is new too.
I ordered a spare from another yard just in case.
Pulled the tank today and found the plastic flange piece on top of the tank has multiple cracks, Mopar part #122336058 is no longer available anywhere and no aftermarket parts made.
Had to order a used one from a junk yard in Minn. My local yards are not much help.
It's really a shame how fast...
I'll most likely purchase a smoke machine next month and borrow a computer to work the solenoid valves in the system, really surprised the shops around me think it's a can of worms and don't want the job.
I'll let you know what I find.
So for about six months I've been chasing this code ( very small evap leak )I have replaced the following -Vapor leak detection pump -Gas cap- vapor canister-and purge valve with OEM parts only, No shops around here even want to look at it, I had it smoke checked but also didn't find anything...
My 04 is a 5 speed, I think they came in 6 speeds manuals from 05 and after, I have a beater car that is an auto, The Liberty 5 speed is easy to shift and trouble free and glad I have it.
When I bought mine the dealer had about 30 liberty's - only 2 were manuals..
easier to just replace the sensor, I replaced mine last year after my light would come on at various times, Hasn't come on since. Like Tom said go with the OEM Mopar only.
I used the LUK replacement clutch kit replaced maybe 4 years ago and everything is good, I tried to upload a picture of my flywheel but image was to large.I don't do computers well,.
Anyway I wonder if some were dual mass and others not - on lost KJ's user letfreedom ring and others also had a...
I have pictures of one I have removed from an 03, it's exactly as my 04 - and rechecked last night - it's flat, how do I post pics? Between here and the lost forum some others also showed flat flywheels.
For what it's worth mine chatters when when wet or damp first thing in the morning...
I know the manual and everyone say's the flywheel has a curve - I disagree, When I changed my clutch some years back on my 04 5 speed i checked the flywheel with a straightedge and it was perfectly flat -so I only scuffed it per the manual, I also have a spare from a 03 KJ and it to is flat.. So...
The bolt pattern is different from the newer jeeps - I have 17's on my 04 from a limited or Columbia edition but not moabs. I think the only moabs that will fit will be the 16's.
I would add some p.s. fluid with sealer, worked on my 88 dodge some years ago. As far as what are the best aftermarket or rebuilt parts ???? - I'm afraid to install anything but OEM the last few years with all the Chinese junk out there.
Honestly - I replaced radiator, water pump, all hoses, t-stat and housing as preventive maintenance when any of my vehicles reaches 12 years old, Ive had problems in the past with other vehicles as you have.
