    Air door blend issues

I popped the hood after driving for 30min on Tuesday night and observed the accumulator as one big ice block. AC clutch cycling 3-6 times/min. I'm not certain, but don't think either of those are normal. I removed the AC clutch fuse (pos 21, 20amp, engine bay) for both my winter highway drives...

    Replacing Front LCA

I have multiple unhappy bushings so I figured maybe I'd replace the whole arms and paint them nicely. Rockauto has these SKP brand ones for $90 CAD ea. They look identical to the Moog ones in photos, and describe the bushings similarly, but I know quality can differ in bushings. I'll get my...

    greaseable suspension parts?

Are they geometrically adjusted for a lift? Given the shape of the arm itself, it looks like it would be hard if not impossible to replace the balljoint. Very attractive though given they are 35% of the cost of the JBA ones. But I want the improved geometry...

    Air door blend issues

I've spent the last day learning the HVAC vacuum system and preparing for a complete diagnostic run, following the service manual instructions, thinking that vacuum component was at fault. But I'm quickly converting to the new theory about the evap coil getting frosted and blocked ! Good find...

    Air door blend issues

Interesting, why would the evap coil be freezing over? - unintended operation of the AC compressor?? To my mind that would produce cold air prior to no-air. I'll check mine on Wednesday and report back.

    Air door blend issues

Thanks for the update man! Is the mode of failure more evident now? I'm still wondering exactly what was wrong... Any chance you can provide a part number or link so we can be clear on the actuator in question? Also, I'm curious if you got to testing the old actuator with a vacuum pump at all...

    Trouble With Frankenlift install: RESOLVED

Hey, just to clarify based on your recent posts; is it your experience that the alignment brought the front from 23.75 to 22.5 with no other changes? Thanks

    Air door blend issues

I have this EXACT same issue. On startup, it all works; there is lots of airflow and all the settings work for hot or cold, outside or recirc air. After 10-20 min of driving, only 5% of air is coming out of the selected vent, with the rest coming out nowhere inside the cabin. I can hear the...

    H&R Spring Review

A couple of things combined, but generally all relating to too much lift... 1) The sway bar geometry was out of tolerance. Even after replacing the endlinks and bushings and playing with the bolts etc it was always just kinda binding and not allowing a natural movement. The ride quality with...

    Time to replace all coils?

Was just wondering why the NGK copper plugs with code ZFR6F-11G lists the cap at 0.044 instead of 0.040... And none of the other plugs list 0.040 either. Guess I'll order the NGK ones and hope they are correct...

Help with front too high after OME install

For anyone interested in the "review" notes I promised on the H&R springs, I started a new thread just so it would be easily searchable by others. https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/h-r-spring-review.75783/

    H&R Spring Review

Hey folks, I recently purchased and installed a set of H&R springs for my KJ and decided to capture some photos and notes about my observations to share here. For the ease of formatting I put this info in a Google Doc, and then exported to a pdf which is attached here. I'm super curious what...

front bump stops change OME 2 lift

To be clear tho, you don't need extended bumpstops because of this kind of spring lift. You need them because you are putting larger tires on. (So if you don't upgrade tire size...)

Help with front too high after OME install

Hey y'all, another quick update here for those interested in hearing about the H&R springs (or anyone just following my soapy wows :) Quick recap: I've been driving without swaybars. The 927s were giving me too much lift in front for the sway bars to work geometrically, causing play in the...

Help with front too high after OME install

Little update on this project: The H&R springs are still sitting in my garage. My main hesitation is wheel-fender conflict with the reduced ride height - because I bought wheels fitting the taller lift. The 927 springs have softened a little over time. I did not feel results from all the...

    Brake light assistance

Thanks Bill!! I appreciate the support. I got ready to check this but discovered it was an entirely different problem. The rear brake light assembly has a clear peice of plastic inside the red lens. I'm not sure its purpose, a heat shield maybe? Anyway it had clearly released from its held...

Did you solve this puzzle? I'm in the same boat. I haven't begun the diagnosis yet, but my lower brake lights suddenly went this week...

Help with front too high after OME install

At the time I thought I wanted 3" of lift, and was only expecting 2.5" from the 927. I have since removed the conduit nuts. Ya I figured you would contest this, @tommudd :) But there is room for everyone's opinion and sharing of experience online. Anyway too soon to tell upgrade vs downgrade...

    Setup 95% road 5% mountain?

I just received my H&R springs which I'm going to use to replace the OME 927/948 I installed last month but find intolerable. https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/help-with-front-too-high-after-ome-install.75516/
