    Help with front end noise

Given the choice between finest part in the world (although the original did fail) with very limited warranty backup, vs, cheaper, though perhaps lower quality, part with unlimited free replacement, I'll sell the one with warranty every time. Bob

    Help with front end noise

If they used MOPAR factory parts, you're pretty much on your own. Do you have the invoice so you can look back? Any REMAN from A1 Cardone, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, and I believe, NAPA will have warranty. Bob

    Agressive street tire?

I sell (when the customer's not wanting the cheapest China rag) BFG All Terrain KO II whenever I can. Excellent mileage, traction, tough, with very little noise. Nitto's also a good choice. Bob

    Help with front end noise

Do you know if they're covered under warranty? Many come with lifetime warranty, check it out. Re-doing the labor's a pain. Re-doing the labor plus out of pocket additional parts REALLY bites! Bob

    Shock/strut question

Sure. A good, solid, well maintained vehicle that's been conscientiously flushed after salt exposure, that would probably be a sound investment. For I'd guess, 85%+ of Yankee rigs, probably not. Bob

    Shock/strut question

Then again, a vehicle that's been exposed to MI salted roads for 10 years, just a pair of Monroe MON 181577L (left) and MON181577R (right) quick Econo struts at approx $115. each would revive the old girl for as long as the rest of her lasts. Bob

Paper Air Filters- Intake Air Box

I'd love to see what you're basing this on. Wix was a subsidiary of Dana until sold to parent company Affina. Along with Ecolast, Nakata, and Filtron. They might actually build whatever line of filtration products Amsoil has their name on, but not the other way around.:emotions34: NAPA...

    Common bolt material and qualities

Unless in a particularly high stress application, most automotive bolts are simple grade 5. You can easily cut em with a hack saw. High stress, they will be grade 8. If you buy grade 8 you'll only be out a couple/three bucks additional and be using a better bolt than most original. with the...

Oil change without pulling drain plug?

prof, is it coming with a new gasket? If not be sure to get one before installation. Bob

    LED Light Bar Mounting Spots

Wider than the roof, and no drilled holes? Maybe several coat hangers bent to go inside door frame and held tightly in place when the doors are shut? Bob

Oil change without pulling drain plug?

I find the idea of putting any penetrating oil on an OIL DRAIN PLUG both the most humorous and at the same time asinine thing I've heard in a while! There's a gasket between the bolt head and the seating area of the pan.:emotions34: You can be assured that ALL the threads on the other side of...

    Quality of 3.7L rebuild kits

Get a kit from the same machine shop you have work the heads, turn the crank, bore the cylinders, etc. If you don't have the mentioned machine shop work done, it don't matter which kit you get. It ain't gonna last very long anyhow. Bob

Oil change without pulling drain plug?

Hell, I'd drill a hole in a pan before I'd attempt to remove it FULL!!!! Bob

Oil change without pulling drain plug?

Nearly every 4 stroke engine modified for marine use has to have the oil changed by siphoning it out at the dip stick tube. There's not enough room between the bottom of pan and drain to put a drain bucket and even if there was, there's no way to get the drain bucket out without spilling oil...
