    Howdy Y'all

Can you post a few pics of the rusted-out parts rig so I can feel better about my daily driver? ;):p Seriously. I'd love to see.

03 Liberty heat stuck on all the time

That's crazy. It ***** when you try to make something better and it just gets worse. Been there. I'm stumped. Hopefully smarter kids that I will chime in. I wonder if doing a quick ECU reset is worth it. It's *almost always* harmless. I would say "always", but I'm shy on universal...

03 Liberty heat stuck on all the time

Are Junction Block C1 pins 28 & 29 hot with key in RUN position? (Ref page 883) Is Fuse 25 at Junction Block C1 happy? (Ref page 883) If it were my car, I might swap the A/C Control with a junkyard part. They cost $25 from the yard and $60 if you can find it on eBay? I know it's throwing...

I'm sure you already followed or referred to the blend door actuator calibration that klc referenced above? Let us know what you find!

I'm no computer **** kid, but it looks like maybe both A/C Control and Rear Wiper Control are routed through Body Control Module at Connector C1. Maybe disconnect that bad boy, clean it up, and see if everything looks kosher? Service Manual page 1014 BCM C1 pinout page 1113 BCM C1 location page...

03 Liberty heat stuck on all the time

Does the HVAC fan speed control the fan speed? Or just the rear wiper? ;) Looks like you're on the hunt for an electrical Gremlin... (Two points for Captain Obvious here. That's me. I just earned two points.)

    Did you buy it?!

What did you do to your jeep today?

Went to the yard (yesterday) and pulled some nice looking seats off an '03. Still gotta wash 'em before swapping. (Our 05 Renegade is ratty enough that the right set of junkyard buckets & bench is an improvement.)

03 Liberty heat stuck on all the time

I offer my naivete only to break the radio silence. Maybe my vast ignorance will inspire others to actually help. I think the air-hole selector (panel, floor, defrost, etc) is vacuum powered. The mechanic may have disconnected the vacuum lines and capped/plugged upstream of a leak. Or maybe the...

    Bad atlernator or something else?

^^^ This. For sure. Maybe? Could be. I know it's barbaric, but I would remove the belt and spin both pulleys on the tensioner. Listen and feel for the free-wheeling grumble where there should be medium drag and smoothness. Check the belt for glazing and cracks. Watch the alternator pulley...

That same kid just graduated from high school -- tonight! One hour ago! She most certainly did not get the KJ as a graduation present. ;)

Just got on here, seems awesome but I have a question.

At the risk of suggesting the obvious, do you have a junkyard or salvage yard nearby? Maybe you can find a unit just 2 new U-joints shy of fully serviceable? I live in St. Paul, MN, and our yards invariably have several Liberties waiting to get their goodies yanked. (We should all be so lucky.)

Long time Lurker; first time Caller.

The 2005 Renegade trim model was something of a beater when we bought it -- never expected to keep it very long. But somewhere in the last four years, I accidentally became a Jeep Owner. It's my favorite for most trips, most times, most places. But it was recently hijacked by my stepdaughter...
