Update
So they are tired of trying to work on it so they are taking it to a shop in the next couple days. Lol. If I hear the verdict I will let you all know.

Anyone? I have looked at a few schematics and it is not on any of them...go figure lol. It is made of pot metal...runs parallel to the tailgate handle and has two...arms that point down. One goes into the handle and the other is more of a stopper from what I can tell. I would hate to have to...
So yesterday I went to open my tailgate and I hear a pop and the handle pulls out...not in the sense that it is not attached but as it normally would but without any resistance. I took it all apart today and saw that there is a...counter weight that the door release hooks too. It is made of...
Save your money and get a ARB. They DO work. I have tested mine a few times now, not willingly and each time I have come out with no damage. One was on the highway hitting a rolled up carpet that fell off a truck in front of me at 70 mph. They work, get an ARB.
Easy, take the door panel off and take a look inside. The cable might have gotten stuck/wrapped/wedged in the locking mechanism. It can be a PITA but it happens more often than some think. As for the window you need to pick up:

The cans came in and they are just like my NATO ones but not in German :D No stamp that says not for fuel use and the welds are great looking. Perhaps I got lucky but I got two and they are A-OK.
Are you using the right fluid? Are there any kinks in the hoses? I know mine had the bushing partially dissolve from the oil filter swap outs.

Some reports say they are knock offs and junk. I have 2 NATO cans from a few years ago and have 2 of these on order. Will arrive Thursday so I will give a report on how they are then.

I have 2 in my garage right now and 2 more on their way. They are a good can that I have with me whenever I am out in the boonies and have used them several times.
I think it will work but it will need to be fabricated. If you are a good welder and have the right tools anything is possible :)

I called my mother who was a manager at a jeep dealer. My grand lease was up and they had a Libby on the lot that I was told I would like...her dealership is nearly 2,000 miles away. Faxed some paperwork back and forth and a week later it arrived at my condo. Lol. Easiest deal I ever did...
Break down for mine (done last year)
Bushings $90
Press out old and in new $110
A couple beers and an afternoon of messing around.
Total: $200 plus beer. Did all but the pressing myself.

It depends on where you drive if it is worth it. On my five BFG ATKOs all five have at least two patches per tire. Each time I get a nail or bolt puncture but that is how Vegas is. Have yet to puncture on a cactus or brush and I have hit some..."wild" trails while chasing game or on my way to...
I don't want to look like a FJ but it would with the color scheme. Mine started dark garnet but will have a black skirt and a white top with a red middle. Unless I can think of a way to go Red, White and Blue with white on top lol.

So what are you asking? I have thought about it myself. Think it would look a bit like a FJ. And the white would help here in Vegas. Lol. As I sit here in a jacket in about 60 degrees with my teeth nearly chattering. I hate the cold!! Perhaps that is why I left Wisconsin all those years...
Latest update...PCM did not work lol. So he is moving forward with the snake oil against everyones judgement and opinions. I am still thinking it is the thermostat but what do I know. :).

If you want you can hit Lowes and in one of the hardware drawers has panel clips. I picked up a few bags to find the right one that fit. I had to trim just a little but the screw in and out so if I ever put the spare back, lol...sorry, then I could. :). The clips I used were for a ford.
