I'm a moderator on kia-forums.com and when we have an ongoing problem with spam we have the administrators block the spammers IP block of addresses... This usually solves the problem until they use another block of IP addresses... Dave

    Engine shut off / P0129, 290, 325, 330, 340

The fuseable link is between the battery and the alternator and is there to protect the battery "if" the alternator or the wiring going to the alternator gets shorted to ground,,, Like a "slow blow" fuse the link didn't have a short to ground for a very long period and the link survived... I...

So, I picked up my "new" Jeep from the inspection station...

Look for another "o" ring on another coil pack and take it to Harbor Freight ... They have boxes with different size "o" rings you can compare it to... If those rings are missing then moisture can get past where they should be and cause misfires between the plugs (at the tip) and the spark plug...

Brake pedal sinks all the way to the floor

After bleeding my 06 the brake pedal does not go to the floor when I'm holding it with the engine running... Sounds like the vacuum power brake module may be failing... and I don't think the master cylinder is at fault as you can't get the pedal to the floor with the engine off (no vacuum) and...

    2006 kj pulling right

Rear end suspension can also cause pulling problems... I bought a few years ago a 2006 KIA Spectra that was a salvage vehicle. The large tractor that picked up the car in the yard bent two rear lateral arms and when I "illegally" drove it home that car pulled heavily to the right... It was a...

    3.7 head gasket failures.

I would first suggest that you start a NEW thread and not attaching your post to an old thread (2009) That said... Your driving it and allowing it to overheat could have caused a head gasket failure or a warped aluminum head...Then again a blown head gasket may have been there when you bought...

Brake pedal sinks all the way to the floor

My 06 was a "salvage" vehicle and had damage to the left rear brake line... After replacing the line and manually bleeding the brakes I had a soft pedal that would ALSO stop the Jeep but would drop to the floor if pressed harder... Turned out that the ABS pump had air in it that normal bleeding...

I just bought a Liberty Sport.

Depending on the mileage on your KJ the brushes inside the alternator may be worn down causing the battery light to randomly flash... The brushes along with the bearings ARE wear items that with many miles will eventually fail... Follow Billwill's suggestions also... Dave

    Electrical issue

replace the #9 fuse with a brake lamp that is in a socket with two wires... the "short" in that circuit will allow the lamp to light until you find/remove the short in the circuit... There will be no fuse to blow only a lamp that is lit until you find where the short is... If the instrument...

2004 Jeep Liberty (current: Engine Swap)

Our PAP yards in Ohio cut out the CATs and also the air bags (tears up a perfectly good dash...) so salvage yards are out... Try Craigslist for "Owner selling car parts"... Replace them and don't tell the inspectors anything about them being replaced... Our Government getting involved and making...

Rear upper control arm body mounting bolt just spins

You guys are lucky... Yesterday i removed the lower control arm on my daughter's 08 KIA Spectra. One out of three also rotated... The nut that broke loose is inside the hollow engine cradle and is not accessible ... I was hoping that by cutting off the head of the bolt that I could push the...

How far can I go with this amount of gasoline?

It really depends on your speed, the roads (hills and such), and how accurate your gas gauge is... Lots of variables... The "normal" size of a Liberty gas tank in the USA is 20.5gal https://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+the+size+of+the+gas+tank+in+a+2006+jeep+liberty 20.5 / 8 = aprox...
