Uh oh! ID this bolt?
Possibly a bolt from the diff cover? Has the same type of flange but may be too long, not sure. That happened to me when I was in high school and rebuilt the engine in my '73 Roadrunner. Mopar 7 pin trailer wiring harness - no tail lights
It is weird - that's what I thought but since I wanted to have brake controller capability I just installed both. Duratracs are a GREAT tire - especially in snow. Really good in rain too - and didn't get loud until the last 1000 miles or so. But I've gotten almost 80,000 miles out of them... Ha! If your KJ did NOT come with an EVIC from the factory you have to purchase the "supplemental harness" to complete the install. Replied in your other thread but reading back through your posts in this thread answered my questions. I'd guess that the loose harmonic balancer bolt allowed the timing gear to ride funny on the crankshaft and the timing gear wore the keyway so that the timing is now off just enough to create...- TwoBobsKJ

Coolant leak no puddle on ground
That's the usual spot for the crack to appear. Look for white residue below the upper radiator hose - when the coolant dries or evaporates a residue remains and confirms the leak. I did a similar Pioneer head unit - the AVH3600BHS. Works well, has all the Pioneer apps including Dash Command for monitoring the KJ via the onboard computer, mapping apps, music and entertainment, bluetooth, blah blah blah. Broken crank keyway?
I agree - should be fixable. Really wondering how in the world the thing got damaged...? There's not a lot of stress right there - the timing chain system is geared in such a way that it's pretty easy to turn the chains even when actuating the cams under full compression. Antifreeze disappearing
The heat returned because there was enough coolant to flow through the heater core - so as the air blew over the core it was warmed.
