2003 Jeep Liberty Wheel Bearing remove??

The Torx bolts are E14 size if I remember correctly. Get a good, high quality Torx socket - you don't want the walls of the socket distorting and rounding off the points of the bolt. A good idea to spray some PB Blaster or Kroil around the bolts before you tackle the job just to loosen up the...

    Suspension pop?

My vote is on the sway bar links - or at least the bolt holes for the links. Mine have popped since the day I lifted it - I've narrowed it down to the actual bolt holes in the sway bar. The bolt hole is oblong and it would pop when weight shifted from one side to the other in a turn or over a...

What did you do to your jeep today?

What did you think of the Renegade? My wife absolutely loves hers - and on these recent cold mornings her new favorite feature is the heated steering wheel  Bob

    05 Liberty With 02 Radiator

Sorry for not replying sooner - been on the road and haven't visited JKJ.com like I normally do... Yep, need compression fittings to make it work. Run both coolers together and you'll have a nice, cool running transmission. Below is the link to the thread dude referenced: HD Cooling...

JBA new ball joints are released

Thanks for posting the pics, Tom. The 'in-person' look-see was too brief - examining the photos prompts a couple of questions. 1) From the looks of the top of the joint the spindle can be removed from the ball cradle, leaving the main housing attached to the a-arm. Is that how they can be...

Jims Rad Jeep - 06 Renegade

So if I'm doing the conversion correctly that means your temps are around 90 to 95F year round. Wow :icon_eek: Sounds like Darwin has similar weather to Key West, Florida. Tropical year round, eh? Bob

    Suspension installation

I'm out for a lift party again this weekend. We're dealing with some health issues with parents so our time is not our own anymore. Anyone else dealing with that....? :( Bob

Replaced Ball Joints on JBA A-Arms today

Yes, the spacer is used for both the lifted and unlifted UCA's. It's just a way to keep the grease in the ball joint and doesn't affect anything else, including alignment. You could run it without the spacer and the ball joint stud would still be in the same place - you'd just have grease on...

    06 Liberty stuck in Part-time 4wd

The SeleTrac likes to be shifted in and out of Full Time frequently - keeps the clutches working properly. The best way to get this transfer case to move back to 2WD and not get stuck in Part Time is to to hold a steady speed on the road, shift to Full Time, then let off the throttle then go...

Me and My '05 Limited, Riding On Air

Glad the seller stepped up - good customer service is often a fading memory... As for Moog parts... I've never had a problem with them, though I can't say that I've used a lot of Moog stuff on the KJ. What I've purchased for the Jeep has always worked, fit correctly and lasted as long as I...

    2002 3.7l engine parts compatability

Yep, the '02 thru '04 Libbys use the JTEC computer while the '05 and later use the NGC computer. The tranny controller was changed but that didn't affect the engine controller. If you put an '05 or later 3.7 in an '04 or earlier you'll need to change the cam sprocket and reluctor ring. Bob

    Bad front end hum

I have the same question as prof - is the oil pan rusted? If so a replacement is not necessarily the only option but it is the best option. I've heard of others using a patch material on the rusted holes but that isn't my idea of a long-term fix. If it isn't rust then I would venture the front...

    2002 3.7l engine parts compatability

The short answer - yes, any Chrysler product's 3.7 from 2002 through 2004 will work, meaning you DON'T have to get an engine from a Liberty to make it work on your parents' Jeep. All of the 3.7 blocks are the same up to at least 2012 - but as you mentioned, starting in 2005 the computer used in...

    found a 2005... parts for my 2007?

I'm pretty sure you can swap the '05 rear axle into your '07. I put an '05 4 cylinder rear axle in my '03 and all was fine. I'm pretty sure the bellhousngs are the same too. Can't imagine Chrysler would have separate bellhousing designs for the 4 cylinders, especially since so few of them were...
