    Take a resistance reading from the wiring to the socket for that bulb. Likely high resistance causing heat and it your case, exploding bulbs.

    Perhaps one or more of the ignition coils are not seated properly. Did you feel them pop around the spark plug before tightening the nut on top of them? Or just put them in place and tighten the nut down? Spark plugs properly gapped? Changed with NGK's??

    Your IAC would throw it's own code if not functioning. It also would not start up or run without your foot on the gas to act as the IAC.

    Your wife scanner likely just pulls engine codes. I'm willing to bet you have an ABS related code stored in there somewhere. I take it your speedometer still works by you saying 50mph, is your mileage still going up? I'd stop somewhere that can pull your ABS codes for you, but in my opinion...
