What size?
As far as gears go, you are limited to 4.10 in the front. Unless you go with the JBA steel front differential. As long as you plan on regearing, driving around with 265/75/16 tires shouldn't be too terrible. Many people have driven around longer than that before they regeared. Just expect...- LetFreedomRing

Something to Check On Front Brakes
Mine have been gone for over 10,000 miles. Pads are wearing nice and even. Throw them away and use extra grease. Don't worry about them!- LetFreedomRing

What gear oils?
What's your opinion on synthetic blend? Only reason I am asking is for us that have colder temperatures in the winter. This past winter I nearly stopped when shifting between 1st and 2nd gear at slow speeds due to thick fluid. Once heated up it wasn't as bad. Currently I am running 85w-140...- LetFreedomRing

Unfortunately I still have the wheel liners and washer bottle. Although I was impressed that I could look straight down inside the box and see the ground. It almost seems less restrictive than the stock setup, at least for fresh air IMO.- LetFreedomRing

I ended up with the AFE stage 2 intake. I believe that is the one you have. I'll keep it on for a bit to see if mileage changes any. If it gets worse, I'll put the stock intake back on. Like I said before, this didn't cost me anything so I figured it be worth trying it out.- LetFreedomRing

I don't doubt it. I was running an amsoil filter with stock box also before I switched. Although I didn't have the 3 inch hose running into like you do. I haven't really had a chance to check gas mileage since I installed it, although if it's worse, I will be going back to the stock box. Way...- LetFreedomRing

Sure it is a hot air intake, although it does provide better throttle response with better top end in my opinion. While that helps some(just recently put on a CAI), the most gain is from removing torque management along with a few other adjustments. Take a look at their dyno chart for the 3.7 engine. It gets rid of the dead zone after 4,000 rpms, a dead zone that I notice a lot. My explorer pulled hard up...- LetFreedomRing

Just trying to get some power back. Compared to my Explorer with the 4.0 this 3.7 is a dog. Also to get around the adaptive learning of the stock ecm. I know you can go with B&G tuning, but this is a lot cheaper plus with the ability to flash back to stock if needed. Read up on the WK guys on...- LetFreedomRing

I know on the earlier years (02-04?) you can do a pinion reset to set the speedometer. I'm not sure it would work on a 2007 though. I had it done on mine at the dealership, it only cost $35.- LetFreedomRing
