I doubt it, I'd guess it's going to be a power output to drive the dip motors from the BCM.
Glad you commented on this, I've got a dead Limited I'm slowly stripping and a Sport to kit out, I'd have forgotten about the auto dip!
That's an odd one! The remote start must be interfering with something, do you have any information on how it's wired in?
Wonder if it has an immobiliser function with a time delay (can't think why though?)
Might be worth seeing if there is a manual for the system you could download.
The usual...
For all those who think the 2.8 is hard to work on, I give you the 2.7, look at the position of those injectors!
Excuse the tissues, I spilt some oil, just giving it a service.
Broken wires to the fuel pump and level sender would be my guess, mouse been asleep on top of the fuel tank for the winter?? Any sound from the pump when you turn the key?
Anything else not working?
Check the fuses in the inside box too.
Raptor inside and out on top of 2 coats of epoxy primer, hopefully dry enough to fit later today.
I took a tip from a guy on YouTube & saved a bit of work leaving the tank attached to the car.
2 x straps slipped round the tank between the axle and the tailgate latch points.
Also I doubt it was made just for one Jeep, it must be used on other cars, I've got a KJ and a WJ on my drive at the moment, get some better pictures of it and I'll compare it to what's on them.
Whatever you do is going to involve fabrication so I'd be tempted to graft an ac compressor out of a different car, that way you should be able to get it cool again.
Another option is an alternator, not wired up just used as a pulley.
The crap sound is probably disintegrated speakers, they fart when they lose the rubber suspension. Amps are instead the doors bolted to the rear of the speakers..
Where else would good old Jeep put them?? lol. I think the Infinity was a cost option on all of them. My old Limited had it, nice...
Do you have a Limited with the upgraded sound system? If so you will also have amplifiers in the doors to deal with. Typically the remote stereo controller is via the BCM instead of just being straight to the stereo.
Looking at the drawings I think you need to snip the yellow and violet wires...
Owch! Didn't realise they were that expensive. I'm just stopping for lunch, I'll have a look at the wiring diagram and see if it's easy, can't promise anything.
Ready for seam welding & cutting in the drop to clear the fuel takeoff pot. A friend let me use his workshop so I could get on in the rain.
The curved bits are a PITA! But at least it's solid again, wish we had the cheap Jeep parts available here!
I've just ordered some Raptor, I'm going to...
Surely if you just buy the interface for steering wheel controls plug it in and just use the stereo controls it will be easier than trying to modify the wiring loom?
The body is very ridged but to lift 6" you will probably run into problems with the front axle shaft CV angle unless you drop the diff to compensate. Don't know how strong the front diff is, allegedly they were reinforced and stronger than the KJ one.
There's loads of information on here, have...
