Ohhhh....you farging icehole...I spit in your general direction...:waytogo: BTW...if you can find it...let me know how that leaded gas is working for you. Probably better than this 15% ethanol crap that I'm forced to buy.

    Tent Trailers - thoughts, impressions

I thought about this set up for a little, then I realized how much of a pain it might be to go anywhere once I set up base camp,i.e. trail-riding, hunting, drive to get supplies. I understand that it isn't the end of the world to pack and unpack, but for the size of tent it holds, I can put the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

You are absolutely right...my shoe was untied. Welcome to planet Earth. And capitalizing would have implied an occupation like Doctor, Lawyer, Nitpicker)...and I am not here to judge...only point out the obvious (and not so obvious). I really wish you were closer to Oregon (capitalized...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Tom, it is not so much attitude as much as trying to avoid verbal attack's. It's a trend I see developing with some members jumping on other members who (when asked an opinion or make a simple comment regarding a manufacturers product or whatever) get jumped on like they defiled the Virgin...

What did you do to your jeep today?

The only issue I can see with the Rotopax on the spare tire mount is the added weight to the swing gate hinges. 1 gallon of gas weighs approximately 6 pounds, so putting a couple of their 2 gallon fuel packs on (with brackets and such) could get you up to around 30 lbs. Of course one isn't...

    New tires after lift

I am running the 245/70/17 Wrangler DuraTrac's and they are awesome. Need to get my lift soon though, because they are kind of stuffed in there. I am having no issues with power loss or drop in gas mileage (plus they kick a$$ in the snow)...and a funny side-note; they cured my "pulling"...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Sorry, no, that was about the only "good luck" I had this weekend:shrug:...besides the great weather and making the 700 mile trip without incident in our buddies new Ram 1500 QuadCab.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Didn't happen today, but went to Lake Tahoe on Thursday (bachelor party...and yes, I have younger friends who are still not yet married...). Looked on Craigslist before I left and found a guy selling a front skid plate in Sparks for (wait for it).........$5. Please do not adjust your computer...

    LED Tails - Source?

I got two-3157 (reverse) 7.5watt CREE bulbs (about 200 lumen each) on eBay for $9.99+free shipping. It's like having 2 flashlights sticking out the rear of my KJ. I wanted to start with something inexpensive, and if it worked, move on to the rest. I would just take some time looking around...

    Tent Trailers - thoughts, impressions

Buddy of mine has a Jumping Jack that he might sell me next summer. One of the benefits of the Jumping Jack is that the lug pattern is the same as the KJ (5x4.5). If you change to more aggressive tire, you could use the trailer tires as spares for the KJ. Of course your trailer could be...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Thank you, but John3seventeen is correct...you have to visualize my lighter gear i.e. camp boxes, etc., in front of the gas cans. Also, I mounted them sideways to facilitate ease of putting full jerry cans in the mounts (that is why the backs are taller than the front). I am also lucky to find...

What did you do to your jeep today?

First of all, thank you. Second, my understanding from previous posts is: Stock rails max out at 150-200lbs-driving load I figure my 1.5"x.120" rails could handle 600lbs, but I use that as the max "static" load (in case you wanted to mount a roof-top tent). The basket is rated at...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Finished, painted, and mounted my home built roof rails, roof basket, and jerry can mounts. Roof rails shown are Phase 1. Phase 2 is a second set of lateral rails that come from the front (near the windshield), curve back to intersect the rear rails about half way up (sort of an Xterra look)...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Finished friends roof rack/cage for his TJ Also, after much deliberation, youtube watching and discussions with those you have done it...I plasti-dipped my chrome clad (chrome on plastic) aluminum wheels. It was a concession with the wife (who likes the chrome look). For the $30 of...
