I like my grabbers. Handles everything I throw at them. Wouldn't be the best choice for deep mud or deep snow though.

Sorry to thread jack but I'm also doing the same3.5" lift on an 06 limited. 245/70R17 (30.5") or 235/70R17 (30") what's the best size for a DD and weekend trail warrior? I don't want to get into regearing at all.

Thanks
Alan

I am running the 245/70/17 Wrangler DuraTrac's and they are awesome. Need to get my lift soon though, because they are kind of stuffed in there.

I am having no issues with power loss or drop in gas mileage (plus they kick a$$ in the snow)...and a funny side-note; they cured my "pulling" issue as soon as I put them on. My other set of Les Schwab 235/65/17 all-seasons, that came on it when I bought it, always tried to pull me into oncoming traffic and kept my in the road ruts. Thought I had an alignment issue, but I put on the DuraTrac's and "presto" it was gone. Actually took me 10 miles on the highway before I realized that I wasn't making any steering corrections for the pull.

As long as you stay at 30 inch you'll be fine, once you get into the 31/32s is when you get into the area you need to regear

I'll be doing the tommudd 3.5 lift in the next couple days, and have a question. How long should I wait before I put new tires on after the lift is done

Guess I should have just asked one at a time =) this is what really bothers me. I don't want to wear out my new tires if it take a bit to settle and have to realign. Thanks everyone

I always have an alignment either scheduled when we do a lift ( done right after we finish and drive a few miles) and then again in 1000-1500. Then again in say 5000 or so. Hard to say since everyone drives on different roads and also some may hit trails the next day, some may never

Speaking of tires.... Anyone have Hercules Terra Trac AT2's? Was at my tire dealer and they suggested them. Great price on them.

Buddy of mine who is still in the tire business says they do a great job. Sells a lot of them down where he lives
Says they hold up well
