    Word censorship?

Those are all just coming up as "*****"! Hahah. You need to separate the letters to get around the censor. I'm assuming this is a list of helpful words that you've posted and not just a bunch of swear words lol.

    Word censorship?

Is there a list of banned words? Without that how can one choose their words carefully? There seems to be plenty of technical words that are censored.

    Word censorship?

Is there a way to turn off the censorship of words on this forum? There are tons of random words that show up only as "*****" and this can make some posts tough to read as critical words will be censored. This forum isn't one that has a whole lot of lewd language, so this feature is more of a...

No heat Still 2003 liberty 3.7L

Would a dealer be able to get the air out with a pressurized flush of the system, or would that not force trapped air out? Interesting journey you are on here. You are really exhausting all the possibilities!

    16" vs 17" Wheels?

I just put a set of Nokian Rotiva AT 245/70R16s onto my KJ this week. They are on standard 5-spoke Liberty Limited "Mechanica" 16x7 rims. Offset is either 41 or 37mm, I will update later tonight with the correct spec. No rubbing at all. My KJ is at 18-some inches fender to hub center in the...

    Miss It Already

Ooooh, I see. I suspected they were JK rims. Adapters! Of course. There are tons for sale around here and I was wondering how you got them to fit. I think they look good!

Starting issue and fuel filling problem

Hi folks, An issue is just starting to crop up with my KJ lately. There are two things and they might be related: 1. Sometimes the truck is soow to start. It needs about an additional second of cranking or else the engine will stumble and die out. It seems like this might be worse when the fuel...

Hello, thinking of restoring a KJ for the wife...

SUV prices are insane this year. I paid $5400CDN ($4400USD) for my 05 Sport with 210,000km (120,000mi). $8,000 for an '03 seems like waaaay to much. It does LOOK good in the photos though. No red flags, it's a good colour, and I'd say anyone who took the time to maintain the underbody likely...

    Proper Pressure

nbas you beat me to it! I was going to post the same document. I've been trying to do some research on this subject recently too as I'm going to buy some new tires soon. Seems to me that avoiding LT tires for a Liberty that isn't a ******** off-road toy would be the way to go. The pressures...

Hello, thinking of restoring a KJ for the wife...

You gotta get a 4x4 man! Might as well get a car if you're only going to go 2wd Pretty rare to see a 2wd Liberty up here, but maybe there are lots of them down south? I'd say one thing to look out for is any issues with the HVAC system. Replacing the heater core is a big job, so you don't want...

    Front Lower Control Arms

Interesting failure. Did the threads on the ball joint stud tear out, did the nut fail, or did the control arm crack and let the ball joint stud out? One would assume the lower ball joint nut was over torqued (maybe multiple times?), or something was heat treated improperly in production. I...

steering rack cradle bolt top of bushing worn

Does anyone know how polyurethane compares to "rubber" in it's oil resistance? Looking at some engineering websites it appears that PU is NOT listed as being resistant to motor oil or petroleum products. (source: https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/polyurethane-chemical-resistance-d_1878.html)...

Front prop shaft seized onto front diff: How to remove?

Thanks for all the tips guys! That video is a good one. Removing the oil filter would definitely have made things much easier in removing the steering rack. Next time I'll do that (Hopefully next time isn't soon!). I just did an oil change a few weeks ago, so I didn't want to dump the engine...

Front prop shaft seized onto front diff: How to remove?

Factory service manual states that this is the way to remove the steering rack. Is it possible to remove it another way? Maybe remove the fans? I got the rack out. I did not get the drive shaft to separate though. I've given up for now. I'll have to fix the drive shaft after I get everything...

Any opinion on newer Jeep Libertys?

One big advantage of the pre-facelift Liberty is that it is the best looking Liberty of all! The KK's had a cloth roof option which is VERY cool, so that could be a bonus. A vehicle that is 9 years newer is certainly an advantage. Test drive a couple and see what you think.

    Seat swap options?

I'd really love to swap out the seats in my '05 Sport to something else as I find them quite uncomfortable after an hour. What are my bolt in options? Any chance seats from a Grand Cherokee would fit? Are the seats from the '05+ Limited KJs the same as the Sport trim seats just with leather...
