Seized upper control arm bolt. Attempt to remove it myself, or admit defeat and take it to a garage?

A sawzall will work but you will be bloody. The stroke on the sawzall I had was a bit long for the space on top of the blades being longer than I wanted. I lost count of the blades I destroyed doing the drivers side rear bolt. The passenger side freed up after a good soaking in penetrating...

    Driving without front drive shaft

I saw I slight improvement in gas mileage when my front driveshaft was out. from 20 mpg to about 22 mpg. I removed it to replace the starter and notice the rear CV of the front shaft was shot, so I left it out until the new one arrived

    Mystery P0300 root cause?

No braking then, the automatic braking only happens while using cruise

    Mystery P0300 root cause?

I haven't hooked up a scantool to see what it may report but I am sure that it just shifts the trans into third gear with the TCC locked My 96 Chevy would shut off the injectors going downhill long enough

    Mystery P0300 root cause?

I think the deceleration mode only works going downhill using cruise control on my 2006 and then it happens when the speed is about 5 mph over the cruise setting

    09 Won't Idle, No Codes

Must not be a position sensor on the EGR to report it being open

    O2 Fault Codes

You really want to see higher voltage on the O2's that are downstream of the catalytic converters as this shows that the excess fuel is being burned off and there is less oxygen. They shouldn't show over 0.1V as that would mean they are shorted to voltage somewhere.

    O2 Fault Codes

There isn't a reason to look at the downstream sensor for adjustments to air/fuel as the catalytic is changing the results

Can you turn the flange on the front of the transfer case by hand with it in 2wd and in park?

    O2 Fault Codes

I would replace the upstream sensor(between engine and catalytic) on the passenger side as the heater circuit code is a definite sign of a bad O2 sensor- they have slow reaction times when they are cold. The wiring for the downstream sensor on passenger side needs to be looked at as the wires...

CATACLEAN product. Does it work to clean your cats? Or will it kill them.

I would expect an O2 sensor with a fault to be ignored and the fuel system to run in open loop. My 2006 was throwing the drivers side cat code not long after I bought it, the cat isn't clogged but it isn't doing anything as the pre cat and post cat O2s have similar voltage readings. I have 200...

CATACLEAN product. Does it work to clean your cats? Or will it kill them.

I would see about replacing the 02 sensor on the passenger side between the engine and the catalytic converter.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Good experience for him. The drivers side rear on mine was easy, the passenger side fought me even after turning back the auto adjusters for the parking brake on the 2006

What did you do to your jeep today?

I bought a Dorman 938124 from rock auto, it wasn't the cheapest but it wasn't as much as local parts stores wanted. When putting a good one in, just place the rear of the driveshaft close to the transfer case, there is room on one side or the other, then put the front in first and get some...

What did you do to your jeep today?

They run fine without the front driveshaft, I had mine out for a week or so as I wanted to replace my starter and then noticed the rear cv was shot. It was easy ordering the right length as the old one still had the part number on the sticker- that had to defy some odds
