Possible broken top mount on new lift? Please help

I looked carefully at the KK mounting plate and the holes are 30mm. KK's mount bush can be disassembled. Anything less than 30mm will pass through. KJ's is probably the same.

    Transmission temperature sensor

In 2003, the left end is B+ and the right end is GND on the larger connector. I think it's No. 2 that turns on in RUN-ACC. I think the No. 2 fuse was 10A. Probably enough. It might be a good idea to check with a checker just to be sure.

    steering liquid cooler

My 2003 3.7 doesn't have a cooler connected to the transfer. If it were to leak from the transfer, it would either drip directly below or run down the drive shaft. The input and two output oil seals are the most suspect. The troublesome thing is that the power steering, AT transmission, and...

Project to divert KK coil to KJ

Think about the full stroke. By inserting a 30mm spacer, the spring reaches its full stroke 30mm before the shock's full stroke. Daystar probably lowered the top plate to put a bump stop there. It looks like the mount bush is used as a bump stop. There is no bump stop in the kit. I won't be...

    Front shocks

The stock suspension uses the shock's fully extended limit as a down travel limit. Does that mean it's not enough? There are certainly some car models that have re-bump stoppers.

    Front shocks

Due to its structure, down travel cannot be extended. Down travel will be reduced by the amount of lift. The main purpose of lifts is to increase road clearance, which actually improves trail adaptability. Front traction may be reduced when going uphill. If only one rear wheel rides on a bump...

Project to divert KK coil to KJ

Oops, I miscalculated. 290-10-10+53-10=313 The rebump limit listed as 333mm in the post above is actually 313mm. By the way, Daystar 2.5 has a re-bump stopper. If it works, it will be revolutionary. The knuckle hits the spacer and stops. At that time, the spacer tries to push the knuckle...

Project to divert KK coil to KJ

When I measured it, The strut extends to a coil length of 333mm. In the photo, 290 - Isolator 10 + Spacer 53 - Clevis mounting position 10. The RC spacer was 53mm. I mistakenly thought it was 35mm. Since the clevis and RC spacer are in close contact, the installation position difference from the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

The temperature rose and the Trac-Lok started chattering. Even with 85W-140 and additives, it gets noisy the second summer. Maybe it's because the tread is 120mm wider. It smells too bad.

Daystar. Is it alright? Daystar has a spacer for 1.5 inch UP. Probably a 20mm spacer. Amazon.com says it does not ship internationally. How about Daystar2.5UP? It would be a 31.75mm spacer. Apparently it can be shipped overseas, so I bought it. First, the instruction manual is difficult to...

Project to divert KK coil to KJ

From the coil length at 1G, The force to compress the coil was calculated to be 3350N for the wheel and 6700N for the coil. A 1G load of about 5050N is applied to the front wheel, so A force of 10100N is applied to the coil. The missing part probably depends on the angle. To avoid complicating...

Project to divert KK coil to KJ

To begin with, I was considering rebuilding the front struts. This is because the shock absorber is the same as when shipped from the factory. In Japan, there are distributors such as ARB, Teraflex, Bilstein, RC, Rancho and H&R. KYB is a Japanese company. However, they do not carry KJ parts...

Project to divert KK coil to KJ

This project started by acquiring a used KK strut for $20. At first, I was thinking of just checking the structure or reusing the clevis. However, the free length of the spring attached to it was 25mm shorter than that of the KJ. The wire diameter is also thick. The number of turns is also...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I got two Monroes. And I got the forbidden lift kit. I don't like the angle of the mount plate and the mount bush. So, I won't use it as is. Under research. Or rather, the shock boots aren't included...I don't use it though.

    Yet another Engine Swap

Also the valve cover gasket. The harness is in the way and the screws are far away. And oil tends to leak.
