I have the same problem in an 07 Liberty. The problem seems so insignificant. I have my own solution - disconnect the damn dinger. How do I do that? I'll take full responsibility. Thanks.- RussellG

Thanks Guys. I had a look at it today and you were right. The bolts were accessible through the two holes. The bolts I saw underneath the lower control arms are for the brackets that support the front axle assembly. -

Remove front diff without removing control arms?
I have a 2007 Jeep Liberty and wish to inspect (bad noises) the front differential. The first obstacle I can see is the front skid plate. The front 2 bolts are hidden behind the lower control arms. Is there any way to get these bolts out without removing the lower control arms?
