‘08 KK Need Advice, Threw Timing Chain

i gave my daughter our 2008 KK and it skipped its timing belt chain and seized the engine. Her mechanic in NH quoted $5400 to replace it. Probably not worth fixing and I’m in California so can’t help. Anyone in that neck of the woods looking for a parts car? V6, 6 spd MT, less than 200K miles. Any advice is appreciated.

That's a bummer. Ironically years ago, my daughter was driving my 02 when it spun a rod bearing...

Consider a high quality Jasper engine rebuild with a warranty.
They have a few locations in California.

in Socal here. 08 too. Get a few estimates if possible. I’ve used Jasper before in a 1980 Camaro. If you need to replace go with them or another quality rebuilder. Ive had no issues. And they have a good warranty. But ultimately it will come down to if you’re thinking the Libby is worth the $$.
