02 Jeep liberty Error Code P0725

My libby is going through some major problems. My car will run for a little while but after it heats up the libby shuts down and will not start for about 1 hour. The RPM meter goes from 0-5 back and forth untill the car sits for a while. After the sit i can start up and start driving again. The car was hooked up to a machine that read that error code. Does anyone knows what it means or most importantly is it a easy fix???

Engine speed sensor

While vehicle speed is 25mph or higher, the engine speed signal from the crankshaft position sensor (CKP) indicates 470 rpm or below for 2 seconds or more.

Possible Causes

* Crankshaft position sensor (CPS) malfunction
* Short to ground between TCM terminal 1G and ECU
* Open circuit between TCM terminal 1G and ECU
* Short to power between TCM terminal 1G and ECU
* Damaged connectors between TCM and ECU
* TCM malfunction
* ECU malfunction
* Engine stall while traveling 25mph or higher

I would go with the CPS first...

Maybe you need to get out of the car and into the Jeep??

Guess it could be a crank position sensor as mentioned..
