03 kj lift advice

I am new to jeeps. I just acquired a 03 kj with low miles in very good condition. I'm wanting to turn it to turn it into a hunting rig. Looking to lift it 2 or 3 inches to run bigger tires. I am wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. It seems OME is the way to go. There seems to be alot of choices in springs shocks and all I'm just wondering what works the best. Also is the any company that sells a full ome strut assembly. Thanks in advance

Running ome 927 and 948 with Bilstein on my 05 with 3.7 and I love the ride and capabilities. Someone (Tom) gas the parts list memorised. Hell post soon. Let us know if you find the list sooner with your search.

From just a few threads down:

OME springs 927 front, 948 rear
teraflex front bump stops
rear 99-02 Dakota CLUBCAB 4x4 shocks
use Bilstein shocks ( www.shockwarehouse )
front shocks are stock bilstein
also 2 hockey pucks per side bolted down to the lower spring perch, 3/8 inch bolt, 2.25 inches long with lock washer and nut of course to hold them in

That should let you run 245 75 16 safely. A bit bigger depending on if you get wheels with more back spacing, want to trim, etc

I don't think you "need" to reheat, but it would surely be beneficial. I'm running this size tire without a regear, but make sure to not hey a 10 ply tire to save some weight. I'm sure my mpg suffers well general peppyness, but it moves along fine.

Well all depends on if you want it to run like it did from the factory OR be down on power, gas mileage, extra wear on the transmission etc

Depends on how you look at it
