Oh my goodness, what happened?I got back from my trip, minus a leg. I have PM'd you for your address. I am waiting to get scheduled for an MRI but I hope to get this shipped out in the next day or so.

I had jumped across a narrow creek while out deer hunting Friday. When I jumped back across on the way back my heel sunk way down into some soft mud. The ball of my foot must have landed on a rock or something. Anyway, I felt something go < rip > up the back of my leg. Still waiting on an MRI (good old insurance companies...) but the doctor thinks I tore my gastrocnemius (big calf muscle) loose. I can walk, but only if I don't bend my right knee and don't put any weight on the ball of my foot. So I'm hobbling around like a peg-leg pirate right now. Arrrrrrrr!!!

Got the package mailed out today at the Post Office. The two-day rate was only about a buck and a half more than the "whenever we feel like it" rate. They expect it to get there by Saturday.
I was expecting a zoo at the Post Office due to Christmas package shipping, but when I got there only one person was ahead of me and he left as soon as I limped to the front of the line. Maybe people are scared to hang around a Post Office when a grouchy looking guy in camo staggers in dragging one leg behind him.

Well I’m really sorry to hear that. Nothing worse than torn or separated tendons and muscles. Rest and immobilizing is a help. Thank you so much. We’ll stay in touch. I’ll let you know when it arrives. REST

Radio in. Works fine. Your wish has been carried out. The beneficiary is the Children's cancer fund in DFW. I tried to add a copy of the gift voucher but it kept asking for a Url. I have no clue how to do that. I'm also sending something to you. Thanks again

That sounds like a great charity. Here's to praying for a cure. I'm glad the radio found a good home and that it went from being just another item in a storage container in my garage to doing a little good.

So... I get this nice little package in the mail over the weekend. I am wracking my brain trying to remember what I ordered from Texas. Then I open it and find this nice thank you gift:
My picture doesn't do it justice. It is a handmade pen made of hardwood with real gold plating. It even came with its own velvet pouch. Chris made this himself, which makes it even more special.
This thing is really nice and is something I will keep for the rest of my life.
