06 Liberty pressure/vacuum at oil fill cap

Oil warning lamp and chime under lying reason for other posts and still is.
In rechecking car, found oil fill cap when set on oil fill outlet, will bounce around from the pulsations coming from engine will idling. Are these air revisions normal?
I've never seen it or had cause to look for it?
I was testing what another poster had said on an oil consumption thread here in past months. Looking for vacuum or pressure at the oil fill hole. That was inconclusive, as a foam filter was not found to check in the air filter system?
To confuse the whole thread, I took the granddaughters car for a test. Drove several miles no oil light or chime, until I made a sharp turn? I could repeat the oil light/chime with other sharp turns?
The oil is over full on dip stick.

Have you replaced the oil sending switch with a New Mopar one
They go bad and will give you a low reading light at times
located above oil filter

Yes the correct pressure switch is on the short list. The enormous amount of force being sent out/in of the oil fill cap opening is the most puzzling thing. Hoping someone can dismiss this as normal.

Crankcase pressure should be relieved by your PCV valve. If it’s old and not doing its job well, I suppose the pressure could cause the oil cap to jump. If a bad PCV is not replaced the engine could develop oil leaks as seals blow out.

I believe on an 06 the PCV valve is located on the oil filler neck. For 07 and later it is located near the rear of the drivers side cylinder head. There will be a vacuum hose from the PCV to air intake.

Pictures indicate what you are working on is a front wheel drive 4 cylinder... which is NOT a 2006 Jeep Liberty.

What vehicle is this pictured above? Is it a Jeep Patriot maybe?

How about a 2008 patriot? It has the CVT transmission.
I have screwed that date up before. Thanks for the correction.
