Two questions:

- Is it necessary to drill the hole for the fourth bolt or just use three bolts on the rear tow hook?

- Is there a trick to installing the front tow hooks, or do you have to pull the front bumper to install the clamps?

Thanks

For the Front Tow hooks. Did you get the Tow Hooks off another KJ or did you get them new?

If you got them New the bumper does not come off becuase the Clip slips on for the one bolt and the M Bolt goes through the two whole to keep the hook on.

If you want Pictures of how my Tow Hooks are bolted on my on my KJ let me know. I bought them new and installed them myself.

I bought them new from the dealer (they're supposed to fit '02 - '07, but the directions supplied are for the '02 - '04).

They have the M brackets that go into the two holes as you described, but I can't get inside and above the M brackets to tighten down the two nuts.

It's not rocket science, but it's got me puzzeled. Pics if you have them, thanks....

You feed the M bolt into one of the holes in the frame and out the other. The 2 threaded portions are then hanging down so you don"t have to get "above" it. I hope that makes sence. Sorry but I don't have pic's.

Here's how it is going to look when it's finished. The trick is to loop the M bolt into one whole and have it come out the other.

Thanks for the responses and pics. Just got done putting them in. It dawned on me while out for dinner that you have to thread the bracket up inside and then down.

Once again thanks....
